Ebonyi Government Threatens To Punish Residents Who Will Obey Sit-At-Home Order by Newsmic: 9:20am On Jan 18, 2022
Ebonyi State government has warned residents of the state against obeying the sit-at-home order issued by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), ahead of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu's court outing, IGBERETV reports.

IPOB’s spokesperson, Emma Powerful had announced that a sit-at-home protest will be observed in all states in the South-East region on Tuesday January 18, the scheduled date for continuation of trial of the proscribed group's leader.

However reacting to the order, Ebonyi government directed that all markets and parks in the state should open for business as failure to do so will attract “severe punishment”.

Nwachukwu Eze, Ebonyi commissioner for markets and parks said in a statement;

“All markets and parks leaderships in Ebonyi are by this announcement directed to ensure that markets are open for businesses on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

“The state is not in any way part of the sit-at-home order by IPOB. Please note that strict compliance to this directive is very important as failure to do so will attract severe punishment.”

DEMOCRACY IS A SCAM
Democracy is all about the number of voters

If a stupid man has 20 stupid children and a wise man with his 5 children.
According to Democracy,
Those 20 stupid children will win over the smart 5 children.
Majority carries the vote
That is how democracy works.
All major decision is carried by the highest vote
If those 20 stupid children vote against building roads, hospital
And 5 smart children vote for hospital and roads.
Again. Majority carries the vote.
Which means the 20 stupid children won. No roads, No hospital will be built
It also means that the 5 children will suffer from the bad decision the 20 stupid children made.

The North has numbers but are dumb as a rock.
South has less number but are smart.
According to Democrazy. The higher number (north ) will win less number (south) even if North elect a Dog as their candidate.

Democracy only works in roman empire where it was founded. Because Europeans get 1 mind and make decisions as one.
Africa is divided into 100 of tribes all in one continent. Thats why democracy CANNOT work in Africa.

Lol, Nigerian rulers and their crazy reasoning, why not deploy sufficient mechanism to protect those that wished to open shop for the day so others that closes theirs will see the loss incurred from closure.
You are threatening those that wants to avoid unnecessary wahala when you wont be there to protect them

Why are our politicians including the educated ones so bereaved of common sense.

The people are forced to stay at for reasons not excluding fear and you want to force them out with fear?

Who did this to us?

If only they have invested in security we wouldn't have this problem. In a situation like this the presence of security personnel on the streets will give the people the sense of safety while they go about their normal day to day activities.

Unfortunately even the security personnel are under paid, poorly trained and ill equipped.

How are they going to ensure that civilians are safe on the street when their own safety is not even guaranteed?

I am just tired of this country.

Am sooo tired of Nigeria as a country...
How can ipod be threatening on one side and the state government is threatening on the other side.

So if the citizens of Ebony state comes out to trade and the Igbos strike by killing them, who will defend them and compensate them for their losses, when we know that even the government house is not safe...To me the government is not addressing and handling this issue wisely.
