Ambodes case is different in the sense that Ambode is not a seasoned politician unlike Ganduje that has been in politics since 1970's.
Moreover, Amobode is not popular among the Lagos APC members.

At the moment , Shekarau's camp controls the authentic excos with court order backing. If Ganduje does not reconcile with shekarau, he will definately lose control of the party and will to impose himself and candidates on the party. Ganduje needs shekarau more than shekarau needs ganduje at the moment. Because when its injury time and the smoke clears, most members would jump ship and join shekarau's camp as his camp is the one recognised by law at the moment.

How many people are the statutory delegates? Statutory delegates are less than 10% of the total delegates. How will he win with that? Statutory delegates are only National appointees, Party National executive members, BOT members (currently no BOT), former and present legislative members, state party Excos (Corrently under Shakarau), former and present governors and D. Governors.

Key point to note is that he is a sitting governor, this makes him the leader of the party in the state and by extension - as how Nigerian politics is played - he has the powers to select MOST of the delegates. My fears are that, Ganduje may run into more political crisis with his party members and the men that be and it will cause him alot after he steps down as the governor of the state. Also, if care is not taken, 2023 general elections will be a tough one for him. A tree can't make a forest. He needs this guys too.

Do you know how delegates are chosen? Delegates are not appointed but elected during congresses, which has been done. These delegates has been elected during the congresses that is the structure we are talking about, not few party executives. The only delegates left are what is called "statutory delegates" They are some few political office holders as stipulated in the party constitution.

He wouldn't want anybody who would short change him or not deliver for him. As such, there is a selection process underneath before the public elections are carried out. Just to make it legal that it was an election that qualified them. My brother, just leave thus things we know how it is done. In any political party at all.

i totally and clearly understand what you are talking about. What i want to understand is, before an election, this guys have a well planned out structure that put people they want and also determine who is a delegate or not. Some things are not to be voiced out. Elections are just camouflage.
