Yar'Adua said elections were marred by irregularities. If somebody was slapped at a polling booth, that is an irregularity. If five midgets came to vote at one polling station, that is an irregularity.

The man did not say he rigged or sponsored rigging or benefitted from rigging.

And let's be honest, did anyone expect that Yar'Adua needed to rig to defeat Atiku, Buhari, Chris or Utomi in those elections?


Secondly, as per voting for individuals, unfortunately, all the candidates came on party platforms so it was impossible for us to bypass party and vote individual.

I think INEC should provide a means for independent candidates to contest but it would cost the Commission so much.

do you know that yar adua is a right candidate in the wrong party? It seems many people would want to vote for yar adua because of who he HIS and not because he is a member of PDP.
