shocked

Statements like "be your own boss ", "don't answer sir to anybody", etc, coming from self-proclaimed motivational speakers, yeyebrities and some folks here have somehow pushed these senseless youths into rituals and all sorts in the bid to become their own bosses.

Nowadays, youths have refused to learn a skill, or be under the mentorship and guidance of anybody.

Everyone wants to earn in dollars and hit it huge.

Worst of it all is that a very large percentage of today youths fall into this category of 'hit it fast' mentality.

Nigeria as it stands has no future.

Nigeria constitution and laws are very weak and almost obsolete. If the penalty for such a huge crime is amputation of the two hands, I think the crime rate would have reduce drastically.

If this were the reason, there'd be ritual killings almost everywhere. But it's the decadence in our own society that's breeding all these. Parents don't care anymore about teaching their children societal values and the fear of God, and respect for human life anymore.

I can't help but shudder anytime I think about what this present generation would have metamorphosed into in the next few decades.

Flaunting of wealth online by individuals with evidence cannot attract punishment whatsoever.

Our youths of nowadays are just desperate out of selfishness.

There is hardly a week that we don't get report on Ritual killing.

It looks like almost every Nigerian youth wants to leave the life they see on Instagram.

Some want to leave that life at all cost.

Just as there is hardly a minute that celebrities don't display wealth on their pages, there is hardly a day we don't get news of ritual killings.

So, I talked to few people if what young people see on Instagram is responsible for the quest for fast richies, some agreed that Instagram is playing huge negative role in pushing some people into doing the wrong things.

And some said NO, every wealthy person can flunt their wealth as they like cos they worked for it .

Your opinion.

There are ritual killings because there's no money on ground
Very simple!

Just advise your female teens to get less greedy cos it's the wave of greed that will attract them to irresponsible and pvssy ass niggars.
Tell your female gals to try to watch out for the real niggars, those who smoke 2 jumbo sized Mali kush and bomb steadily praying for Oluwa to open his way; not going for likes of portable and still hoping to live well

I don't really think Instagram is the factor here, even if social media has a role to play in it, of course you would want to flaunt your "supposed" wealth for the world to see.

If Instagram is the problem, then everyone should be clamoring to do a get rich quick scheme, cos who no like get money then flex it all over the net.

All these is just poor parenting, bad behaviors and lack of empathy.

A country labelled as the POVERTY capital of the world has 98% of its adult citizens producing children as if we have population crisis. A civil servant earning less than 50k already has 4 kids...a site labourer earning 2k a day already has 6 kids @ home plus "away match" baby on the way. People are popping out kids as if Nigeria is still in the good old days of oil boom.

The media isnt helping either...imagine youths listening to "Ose to leran....Zazou". What type of soap has meat inside? Portable is proudly advertising himself as a ritualist who uses voodoo soap infused with human flesh hence his success but nobody cares coz all na Zazou!!!

For years I kept saying it...this current generation from 45 down is a failure.

The generation 45 and above trained those below...the time they should spent creating wealth for the up coming generation. They spent marrying more wives and disturbing the younger generation that should focus on development.

Example is Ned nwoko that prey on young girls instead of building factories where they can earn honest living.

The only industry the generation above 45 build is hotels. And more hotels.

You entice our young girl with your money and turn their brother to Uber driver shuttling their sister from one hotel to the other.

Others are employed as security guard.

To those young one as seen how their elder brother have been treated they're pressure and scumb to all forms of negative evil that has not been experienced anywhere in history.

Countries like China would arrest celebrities who flaunt their wealth because they know it's bad for public health...but Nigerian government as usual don't care about their people.

The useless people in government do same, even worse.

That’s what I was telling someone on another thread

Let’s be strict with our value system, which serious nation looks away when the youth don’t want to earn a honest living, they all want luxuries at tender ages, steal what others worked for or even in the figment of their imagination think killing others will make them wealthy in a short while

So far we don’t have lawmakers pushing bills on value system, being strict on lavish spendings and all

We won’t even have anything to export than internet fraud in coming years cos most of dem do it, go into music industry or even pretend to be tech gurus, some become skit makers and others influencers

If something isn’t done urgently, the future looks bleak

the way our celebrities are going about things is not helping matters. Last week i read something about americans tending to be xenophobic due to the way our celebrities flaunt their riches online.

No doubt, social media generally contribute to the high rates of ritual killings.
Not even knowing that not all of them who flunt material world are actually happy within themselves but just faking happiness.

True, but it's worth it. A lot of people won't mind an authoritarian working government. Singapore is an example.
