He is not the first to do this neither will he be the last . There are a lot of people in 5he western world who have been doing this . I know a woman in her 70's African American who disengage her relationship with her Nigerian boy friend when she was in college ( years ago) because the nig guy wants kids and she didn't want any . As I type this she doesn't have d kid(s) of her own and she is not worried . She takes cares of girl child in Ghana and she is enjoying her life

There are married couples here in western countries who prefer to own a dog for companion than have children. It's their choice.

The reason most of them of them have kids is simply because others are having it, or to pepper their inlaws/co-wives (for women).
Not really because they are truly prepared on what it takes to be a great parent. Soon, they'll drop the kids at a boarding school and leave the bulk of the work for the teachers.
