I just got diagnosed of been HIV+. I don't even know what to do or where to start at this phase in life. Dream looks shambles. I had that HIV positive patient must take it's drugs everyday in other to survive. I really do not know where to start. I feel like taking my life away. Who can give me a concrete advise on how to survive this. The trauma is much on me. I really do not know who to ask for favor. I am looking forward for your advice.

Secondly is the drugs affordable?

Firstly theses are confidential matters all I can say is .. at least my buddy has been talking his ARVs for X years now .. been there with him since that D day ..

He went from really sickly battling breathing problems emotional trauma etc to looking stupendously good today... My.bud even looks way better than me...

The lady in question was my neighborhood sweet heart way back when, life separated everyone for bout 10myears we ran into each other then she told me she got infected from.some guy . I still loved her so we dated , but when she gets angry she has a foul mouth ... I couldn't deal with that and truth be told I was relocating from Nigeria then so I ended it. I regret that though ... Today she is happily married ..

Does HIV kill? I doubt it. What does kill then? Depression developed over the realization of having the virus. It has happened yea, what's next should be your main concern.

Cry over it yea, cry for days, it is allowed, it removes the heaviness created by the result of the diagnosis from your heart.

Then days after, what's next? Go back to your normal life, register for any counseling program designed for people living with HIV, there, they'll advise you on all you need to do.

Before I close this, let me shock you. Those people you see around you daily, your co-workers at work, a next door neighbor, those with the brightest smiles on their cheeks you see every time, my dear, most of them live with this virus but you know what? 1. Unfortunately nobody is going to sponsor any research that will lead to the cure for HIV. That's the harsh truth. Pharmaceutical companies have profited alot from managing the disease..so that's how its going to be.
