News broke a few days ago that Soldiers answering a distress call that IPOB were about to attack checkpoint, got involved in an accident with their MRAP(mine resistant ambush protected vehicle) on their way there.

Five Soldiers lost their lives in the accident. While some may see this as unfortunate, I see it as an act of God.

Had that accident not happened, many innocent Igbo youths would have been dead by now.

The Nigerian Army, notorious for abuse of power, human rights violations and extrajudicial killings, would have labelled young Igbo man they dont like his face, as IPOB, and killed the person

Had that accident not happened, they would have paraded the lifeless bodies of several innocent Igbo men, put guns and Biafran flags by their bodies, taken pictures, and sent it to the press, claiming they killed ESN exchange of fire.

Had that accident not happened, by now, Army spokesman Brigadier Onyema Nwankwo, would have released his usual cocktail of lies called press statement, about how the Army "repelled and neutralised" invading IPOB/ESN

Has that accident not, mothers who sent their son's on errand, wives whose husbands were returning from work and many Igbo youths simply going about their lawful business, would be no more today

Had that accident not happened, many people would have been hospital fighting for their lives from different bullet wounds, and thats the lucky ones that are still alive

That accident saved many lives. That accident was an act of God

Wrong and false. Someone gave them the order to go there. It was their job to obey that command for God sake. did you confirm their identities to know they aren't human before involving God in this your fallacious ideologies. They responded to a distress call..what were you expecting them to do? refuse the order?
No what you said up there is wrong..what if it was your close one(the use of word) who lost their life there?
Will you be saying the same thing..? undecided

Some one gave them order to go and kill innocent civilians, and you expect people not to be happy for their misfortune, if your mother and father or your brothers and sisters are killed by notorious uncultured uniform men, I hope you will come and post some eulogies to acknowledge them here,
Since they will be commanded by someone as well,

I repeat don't be an unfortunate Chap. If your father or mother or brother was among the uncultured service men and women who lost their lives in active command duty....don't come and patronize my common sense here ooo

Perhaps soldiers should stop killing unarmed people so that we can know which is an act of God or which is the carelessness of Proforce

Soldiers should be celebrated for there selfless services, ranging from protection of lives and properties, by securing of our borders and counter attacking our external enemies, reverse is the case in Africa especially this arena where human lives have no meaning to uniform guys due to religious and Ethnicism, Could this be they met their waterloo time will tell

Some miscreants decided to blame Innoson...

I dunno what happened there, but nothing good has ever come out from soldiers being in the East.

If it's not operation lizard dance, it's burning down of villages and shooting into people's homes. Carrying out multiple extrajudicial killings on Innocents, who were not given a fighting chance by being charged to court.

God’s hand or not... it's still good riddance to bad rvbbish.

If these kind of thing had happened before those ones get to Lekki tollgate that day a lot of innocent lives would have been save that day anyway R.I.P to the soldiers that lost their lives in that accident but they should stop tormenting IPOB and ESN guys because of politics.

The FRSC source said, “What happened was not an accident and it was not a case of a road crash. It happened during a gun battle between the soldiers and the gunmen.

“When the gun battle was going on, the soldiers’ two armoured vehicles mistakenly collided and one of the vehicles somersaulted. In the process, the victims crashed. No one could go near the scene while the gun battle was on.”

An eyewitness, who identified himself simply as Akachukwu, said five persons were involved in the collision and three died on the spot.

could be a case of friendly fire. That MRAP is well built it will take something very strong to topple and split it like that. What did it have accident with??
