Speaking of this prediction, US made that announcement to avert the invasion. US avoided a whole war with that information. If Russian were actually planning to invade yesterday, after US made the announcement Russian would want to prove US wrong by not invading.

They lost Crimea some years ago not this year. Russia bullied them and took over Crimea, which is what US and the West are trying to prevent from reoccurring.

Ukraine is indirectly a NATO member that's why NATO were heavily mobilizing for them even without them being full member.
