SIR JARVIS ARCHIBONG, ENTREATS INEC TO PROPERLY SUPERVISE THE AKPABUYO 26TH FEBRUARY BY-ELECTION


It is no more news that the good people of Akpabuyo Local Government Area are billed for a by-election come the 26th day of February 2022. This schedule followed the unfortunate demise of one of the people's democratic party fine legislators, late Hon. Elizabeth Edem Ironbar.

The polity has since been very heated with preparations for a by-election to replace the vacant Akpabuyo constituency seat in the state house of assembly, however, it was revealed that the All Progressive Congress (APC) had plotted to undermine the sanity and integrity of the forthcoming by-elections to create an illegal, undemocratic and an anti-people advantage for themselves.

A frontline aspirant of the people's democratic party and chancellor of the prestigious Arthur Jarvis University, Sir Arthur Jarvis Archibong, has in the light of these hideous and desperate schemings, implored the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to take it's stand and act decisively as an umpire bereft of bias and any interest other than the conduction of a credible, free and fair election.

The Inec is by this publication put on notice that, the APC has advanced plans to compromise the peace, credibility and fairness of the February 26th by-election by plotting undemocratic graphs to undermine the electoral process.

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) completely understands the desperation and fears nursed by the ruling party (APC), being that she has never won an election in Akpabuyo Local Government Area, this however shouldn't be a yardstick to actuate mayhem on the good people of Akpabuyo Local Government Area as any such attempt will be strongly resisted with all purpose and intent.

The PDP family remains very resolute to regain her mandate and will do so through the most legal and civil of approach, hence the APC should sheath her sword and resort to voters card as elections aren't war but a sheer exercise of a people's democratic right to choose their leaders.

We believe that _"A man who desires to eat his food without noise must learn not to buy his food stuff on credit"_

Our people are ready to exercise their franchise on the 26th of February and bring back home what originally was ours.
