Elporo:I don't think so, but the technical partner should know better about corrosion and it's effect on their FPSO. Sadly they are on receivership because they are to take the blame. Oga Emefiele should biko allow them access $100million credit while they go sort the rest else where to get another fpso perhaps from Ladol or fix what they can fix, the oil price are good, I know magic can't happen overnight, but things go to keep moving forward. 1 Like |

Trinity Spirit was a real rusty old bucket. It never went to dry dock for maintenance and the order from above was keeping inspectors off the ship. |

A highly-placed source disclosed to TheCable that concerned persons had written to various authorities as far back as 2017 on the state of the vessel. The regulators will now be blowing grammer that they are on the trail of the owner. |

This all the product of the rot in our systems. We let things go bad to even worst b4 we fix them or it gets too late. I thought they had a very high safety standards in this industry?? |

The level of corruption in the oil and gas industry is stinking to high heaven. How on earth will there be no inspection and continuous maintenance on a vessel that is constantly on water considering the attendance impact of salt water as a big catalyst for Corrosion? The regulators will always look the other way as far as there is barrels In the pipeline and profitability is not hindered. The case of trinity Spirit wouldn't have been pathetic assuming a white man is the captain of the vessel but having an entire black man as crew a lot of safety issues are overlooked and now the vessel is down below the sea taking away lives of innocent crew members their only sin is working for a company that gives zero priority to safety. OH NIGERIA!!! 1 Like |

Elporo: Oga you are inexperienced....which insurance money. Do you know how much SEPCOL makes daily operating that FPSO on that OML 108?. There's so much money in exploration especially offshore field. The issue here was just not carrying out periodic maintenance. Energy services companies would have made money if they were rolling out bids to procure items for maintenance...DPR has a case to answer if they truly wrote to the regulators. RIP Engineers & other technical guys aboard |
