You see why people agitate for feminism? Do you know that women have feminists to thank for some of the good life they are enjoying now?

Well, this needs to get to Supreme Court, because Section 127 which "recommended dismissal for any woman who becomes pregnant without a legal husband" needs to be removed.

This is Unconstitutional because it discriminates on a person on basis of gender.
Supreme Court will still give the same judgment, cos it is in the police act, only the National Assembly has the power to change it, the Supreme Court follows the law written

I am not surprised there are supporters of this evil. Even slavery then were supported by some people. One day in years to come people will look back and see this as a great evil that was suffered by women.

Vote for the right leaders and get things change, no court in Nigeria will change that, only the National Assembly, the court only job is to interpret the law and not to change nor add

But an unequal law is unjust. It will be great if they make the law equal

I'm afraid you're right. I looked it up, and the Constitution 42(1) says:

42. (1) A citizen of Nigeria of a particular community, ethnic group, place of origin, sex, religion or political opinion shall not, by reason only that he is such a person:-

(a) be subjected either expressly by, or in the practical application of, any law in force in Nigeria or any executive or administrative action of the government, to disabilities or restrictions to which citizens of Nigeria of other communities, ethnic groups, places of origin, sex, religions or political opinions are not made subject; ...

So far so good, however, the same section appears to empower the Police Forces to impose restrictions on its members - which though may be in conflict with non-discrimination - is allowed.

(3) Nothing in subsection (1) of this section shall invalidate any law by reason only that the law imposes restrictions with respect to the appointment of any person to any office under the State or as a member of the armed forces of the Federation or member of the Nigeria Police Forces or to an office in the service of a body, corporate established directly by any law in force in Nigeria.

Is it fair? No. Is it Contitutional? Yes. So therefore, you're right, this one pass Supreme Court.

That section needs to be repealed.. we are in a secular country not an islamic country and such laws can't be binding on those who don't practice islam.

I'm not in any way encouraging female officers to be promiscous but with the realities on ground now and the UN treaty on sdgs which Nigeria is a signatory to, it's equal treatment for all gender in all places at all times.
Exactly! infact i think the FG should start sending women in the NPF and NA to fight Bandits and BH, afterall we are all equal right?

Small girls of nowadays! They hardly take to corrections. Rather than face her jamb a lot more seriously, she's busy forming feminist online & frolicking with dicks in jamb classes while wasting away her precious years purposelessly.

What if the police officer was raped, does the law make provision for this. Many reviews need to be done on Nigerian laws sha

Yes. First of all, the rapist will be arrested and prosecuted and the Police will help the female officer to recover from the trauma.

The Nigerian laws do not joke with rapist and know that you will face the full wrath of the law if you are planning on raping anyone.
