1). How do I update my Nairaland email?? I registered 2018, my registered Gmail account got hacked last year and I lost the email, but lucky enough I do remember my login details which I am using at the moment, but cant communicate with other nairalanders via PM since it's email linked

Note: I use this medium in communicating cos I can't send/receive a PM on losing access to my registered mail on the platform.

Most all you listed are essential for success of any relationship, not just marriage. So, even while single, you should work on honing those same skills in your every relationship.

As for trust, that is too much of a burden to have another imperfect being carry on your behalf, is my take..

I disagree. People can and do change. You however need to chose a partner with your eyes and mind as open as possible in order that you are not stuck with one whose ego leads the way before commonsense.

Gods guidance is required for every endeavor in life. Marriage is all about sacrifice . It goes beyond love . To rediscover your partner , you have to discover yourself as well

none of them. just that a few couples come to share their problems with me from time to time, I'm a physician with experience in reproductive health.

God has absolutely nothing to do with marriage counseling so why attend to these couples in these church environments?

you sound rather displeased, they obviously will see me privately not in the church environment and this has nothing to do with God, we just happen to attend the same church or is there something wrong in giving advice to a fellow church member?

Well, there is everything wrong with using the name of God to sell one's ideas/opinions and traditions/rules to others, a sin Churchians are very much guilty of and thrive on.

So long as the counseling you offer is strictly professional and not in anyway wrapped in the name of God, then I can't find immediate faults with it.

None of what I stated is of my personal opinion as it is all known of every healthy relationship out there.

Never said love(the brain chemical kind) should be the main reason for every marriage. However, we know that in the absence of such, a marriage is nothing more than a whole business transaction between two individuals at that point.
