Happens all the time. When Africans get in trouble abroad, they beging saying they are Nigerians. They do this either to draw us into thire fight, example during xenophobia attacks on them in South Africa; to deflect from thire nation, as in the hight of migrants crossing to Europe; in misguided attempts at confusing authorities when they break the law and are being questioned by police; and as in now when they want to be evacuated from trouble spots and situations such as Libya (slavery),
China (Covid) etc .

The worst thing is that these ungrateful ingrates join in cussing Nigeria even more than IPOB, exploiting IPOB name in many instances. They know everything about Nigeria due to the fact Nigerians are very open, helpful and forthcoming with information when asked. Our Social media footprint is also large.

The Nigerian Passport, tied to the person's NIN as a Citizen (and not as a resident), is what someone can use to identify himself as a Nigerian.

Didn't you hear the news that Romania and Hungary have opened borders for Nigerians there for free migration.. No visa.. Just means of identity... Residential permit, work permit or passport

Nigerian Passport is still ok for any form of country origin and identification. But this is war crisis those protocols will be bypassed.
