1 Marriage is the responsibility of two people not just one.

2 Put your vows above your feelings.

3 Keep no secrets from each other (e.g. debt, emotional attractions to other people, infidelity etc).

4 See yourselves as a team on the same side

5 Marriage is work (be very mindful of this but don't make it a chore)

6 Marriage is not a reward, it's an assignment

7 If you are going to have a great marriage you're going to have to practice advance forgiveness

8 Choose love daily (the way God sees it i.e. 1Cor 13).

9 Marriage is never going to be about perfection but about beating the odds together.

10 Don't compare your marriage to anybody else's.

11 Marriage is a covenant not a contract. Which means it's for life & shouldn't be approached with the attitude of "if it doesn't work for me I'm out."

12 Understanding is important in marriage. Understand each other, your differences, personality types, love languages, your roles Ephesians 5:33 (AMPC Version).

13 Make time together a priority because the more you do this, the more you get to know each other better, and get closer.

14 Divorce is not an option.

15 God never fails.

Very important points.

Marriage is the only institution that issue you certificate at the beginning of the course. You know why? You don't ever graduate from marriage school.

New level of patience and understanding is consistently required.

Keep growing...
