This guys are doing two job at a time. For heaven sack that place is eatery, and the guys is entertaining the customer and doing there job. Most times you go and dancers and comedians to come and entertaining your customers, but now you got it free. And it another case. They come out with the truth.

If you are a security in an eatery in the US will you dare dance while opening the door and watching guests?

Truth be told, a security man has no business dancing while on duty or entertaining customers.

It's the Nigerian bad economic condition that has literally redefined every sphere of the status quo and people don't know their left from their right, all in a bid to survive.

Go and employ a security guard for your house to guard against thieves and instead, you see him dancing at night?

What will you do?

I don't blame the boys though, they were just trying to survive.

Is he in the United States?
He wouldn't be saying such if he had boarded a Flight out of Nigeria.
Even flight to some serious African nations would have altered his cognitive output.
So, why cite the US as an example to someone still within the enclave of the second worst nation of the planet?

The contracted security company did nothing wrong by recalling the young security guards back to base. They were employed as SECURITY GUARDS and not dancers. They were supposed to take strategic positions and watch customers as they come and go for safety within the company premises.

We protested about a police orderly carrying food for his principal because that's not part of his job. In the same way, entertaining customers isn't part of security function. Providing security is a serious business and is not for everyone. Matter of fact, by watching things at eateries, these security guards could pick up vital intelligence which could be useful in bursting serious crimes by the police.

On a serious note, most Nigerians especially youths are easily carried away by what appeals to their sense of entertainment. That's why Abba Kyari posted dramatic pictures about fighting crime and got the tag of supercop. Politicians act all kinds of roadside antics to show they are identify with common people and they succeed.

Some people won't understand some things. They just want to cry foul at every given chance.

Most companies out sourced their security to other company. They are alright and the security company that also called them for retraining are also right.

Let us not forget that security in Nigeria should be of serious concerns to every one and personnel that are involved in security should take their jobs very serious.

Work is work and play is play. Let us learn to do the right thing at the right place and at the right time.

With all these your grammar? These security guards salary is not up to 35 thousand naira! I have been there before, I know what I am saying. They are even contract staffs and you said they should not be happy because security is a serious business?

Nigerians! I am sure you will still disobey them, if you were given security instructions by them If you visit Chicken Republic!

Why they so much love with contract staffs so they can dispose at will and heap all the bullshit on contracting company's

Who even still eats at Chicken Republic in 2022.

I guess they still got low budget customers

Stop talking like a fool. Can't you see the security guards are wearing uniforms of a security company? All such security companies are registered with the NSCDC. If you do not know how things work in your country, then you need to go for some re-education in a labour camp in North Korea.

Let me tell you this.

In countries like US, Cyprus and others were more than 80% of the citizens are allowed to legally carry firearms, you cannot be a security man and be dancing on duty. Who born you, when criminals can invade your premises at any time with guns blazing?

Only in Nigeria do we permit such ridiculous mediocrity where people do not take their work serious and expect to be paid at month end.

Leave grammar sir, what those doormen did wasn't really bad... Those dancing steps you saw them making can even be the reason some customers will be interested in coming to buy from that Chicken Republic place... Doormen are not there to stand and be like a mannequin, entertaining guests in a little way isn't bad ...

The way we Nigerians defend unprofessional conducts is just so glaring that we are majorly the cause of our undevelopment, corruption and many more... Why would a sensible person defend security men who neglect the duties they were been employed and paid for and start entertaining customers. Many of you comes here and act like a saint but deep down, you would have done the same thing by terminating their contract. Well, it's no new thing that inappropriate things are well been celebrated the most in this present generation due to the bad influence of social media... Yahoo Fraud, Corruption, Leak Sex Tapes, Hookup, Ritual, Tinubu for next President and many more like that.... When do we start thinking for ourselves not just to follow peoples opinions. That a quote supports you idea doesn't mean it's legit. You and the person might just not have sense. It's a good thing that it was a blessing in disguise for the two boys. I wish them all the best in life and really wish they learn from their mistake.

The REAL QUESTION Is....

How many people get sense for Nigeria?
That's where you should start from?
A country where parents will boldly tell you dey don't give their kids Meat/ Eggs because they would turn out to be thieves...
That should tell you the number of idiots in such a nation.

IF someone like you is still in Nigeria, then I will advise you to activate relocation plans else your kids will be engulfed by all these.

Even if they were paid one kobo, they still accepted the job and should do their duties to the satisfaction fo their employer. That 35k that you belittle, you would see hundreds of people willing to do the same job for $20 or 25k, e be like say you no know how drastic the job market has become. All in all, don't accept any job if you can't give it your best, even if na one kobo dem dey pay you!

Many Nigerian youths will never see the truth and say it, two guys working and entertaining their customers and they fired them what a pity. If only the company understand what happiness is they will train them how to make their dancing styles more professional. The damage control will not help at all. Those boys calls has been answered by their creator who has giving them that day as a day of joy. Other youths learn and make yourself happy at all times.
