Cuba is a socialist country very near USA. There was a crises in in 1962 when USA moved some of their missiles to Italy. The Soviet Union retaliated by moving some of their missiles also to Cuba and it nearly resulted into a WW3.
After the doctrine of mutual assured destruction was considered by both parties, they BOTH quietly removed their missiles and peace was restored.

I think there is a competion of Power btw the U.S and the Russians. The U.S are in control of the Western countries while the Russians are in control or trying to be in control of the Eastern countries. The U.S who are in control of the Western countries also want to be in control of the Eastern countries by taking Ukraine who is an Eastern country, Putin says, no way. I'm suppose to be in control or the leader of the Eastern country. Therefore, u Ukrainians, u mustn't join them. What even aggrivate Putin was the Millitary base/ millitary camp the U.S and NATO wanted to establish in Ukraine.
