Nigeria is a failed nation, people are dieing everyday and the government doesn't even care ,brt buses are suppose to have CCTV ,they should be emergency numbers but a failed government will always be a failed government just because their daughters and sons are not the one dieing everyday .

The driver trying to play innocent, caring passengers on the road at that time of the day in the first place is a number 1 offense because if you have avoided that you shouldn't be in such mess

Simple behavioural psychology 101.
A violent crime was commited in proximity of an alleged innocent man, first instinct once you are safe is to alert people, alert the authorities or alert someone in a position to absolve you, thats the psychological trait of an innocent person..
The trait of a guilty person or an accomplice is to go home and act like nothing happened cos of the thinking that he cant be caught cos there re no witnesses nor clues left behind, a point in case chidinma,(someone without sociopathic tendencies can never be normal after such crime) note that the said driver parked the bus but stopped driving it for some days, note that said driver was at the park when the relatives came but hid, hardly the behaviour of an innocent man cos he has obviously been reading the news and just like everyone else has seen that the girl recorded the number of the bus something which he never knew,by the time he knew it was too late to run..

Here re two analogies- a guy having sex with a girl vigorously, said girl passes out, maybe she is asthmatic or has sickle cell or a bad heart , she might not even be dead.. what the guy does boils down to his behavioural markup...
2nd- a case of an accident where the driver hits and run.. an innocent person might run at first but will never be able to live with such crime, while a person with sociopathic tendencies will live fine after such crime.. it all boils down to simple behavioural psychology. WE ARE WHO WE ARE.. but we can change our nature for better or for worse through brute resetting ..

So a girl was dragged off the BRT bus you were driving, you never bothered to stop at the first BRT point and inform management.
You never failed to alert the first police post you passed?
You never failed to raise alarm knowing the implication of that to a human being's life?
Infact, though his defence is hogwash, assuming this even happened,a driver with conscience for the girl's life, the company's business and his source of living, would have fought with the assailants,no matter the danger to his own personal safety, which would have attracted other road users.
This man unfortunately needs to be put in the hands of those rogue Nigerian torture policemen in panti or SARS since Nigeria does not operate a functional forensic police investigation.
Wetin you dey type brother, you never failed to... You either use failed or never not both in this instance.RIP to the young lady

For me, He's not saying the truth. Is it only female parts those guys uses for their rituals? Ok, they had guns/weapons with themselves and never tried to go with the both of you. Haba, this man looks like someone that have been aiding or running this business if not that Bamise was communicating with someone that made us to understand.

1. You refused to stop for any other passenger
2. You told her u liked her
3. You put out the light in the bus
4. You didn't report to your bosses or the police

You never talk true

Normally, passengers will have to use their cards to enter the bus. The card is linked to individuals' mobile lines and the mobile lines have details of their means of ID attached. The card reader machine that the late Bamise and others that the driver carried used to tap in the bus that day should provide log in details of all the passengers on board. The CCTV camera is another source of evidence. Bamise's chats on Whatsapp around the time of the incident is another source. Perhaps, google map could help track the movement of that day from Ajah to Osodi. The driver should be placed under professional cross examinations now and should not be allowed communication with family and friends for now. His confessional statements from the point of arrest should be well documented and preserved.

Sad incidents everyday cry

I just have the fear that justice won't be served, as we've seen in similar cases.

This guy devil might be working for one eediot like that, to have the guts to use such vehicle to perpetrate evil acts (arguably not his first time), and with the reported jeep following him closely.

R.I.P Bamise

So sad

He said that he believed that the girl was still inside the bus. Let's ask him what happened and what did he do after the escape with the belief that the girl was still inside the bus? Lol. He was never in any hostage situation, everything started with him and the girl alone inside the dark bus.
His intention was clear right from the start, thanks to the girls messages

We need people like you working at the EFCC or the forensics dept of a bank. It's one thing to think of a solution, it's another to have backup redundancies, that's how issues are resolved in large organizations

Imagine, a driver of govt public transport vehicle. And he didn't report the issue to the nearest police station. Wouldn't that and the video evidence exonerate him. How callous? He was talking as if it was a fowl that was allegedly dragged out of his vehicle. It's a human being we are talking about.

I wouldn't say he was responsible for her death but he need to proof otherwise.

What happened to CCTV in the bus. This is a story of March 2019 that says that Lagos govt acquired BRT bases with CCTV.

Bros cross you rhands and watch how things get manipulated. Nothing like quick judgement here, unless the facts from both sides are false. A lady sent an sos about how unease and scared she's was about her driver and few minutes her fear manifest. The driver in question left us beyond reasonable doubts, putting his actions into consideration. Please people should be responsible for their after tots.

Please I am putting this to you... if all this secrecy didn't come to light, how do you think the driver would have carried on with life?
Ok, I appreciate your enlightened update for me. I haven't heard of the issue SOS been sent by the victim prior to the incident. Honestly my mentality on some issues seems to be changing rapidly have been living outside my Homeland with the so called civilized societal standard of engaging stuff. Nevertheless, I pray that the very truth will come out at last.

Was he asked this questions? Because am not really sure what sort of journalist would stand in front of a suspect and have chances to ask these sort of questions but not bother asking. You felt bad that the girl was being dragged, after leaving her there did you ring the police? Your work? Co-workers? Why was your bus light switched off? Why did the girl claimed you asked her to sit all the way at the back? Why didn’t you report anything until her videos and messages surfaced on social media? These are just some of the questions they could have asked on the spot.

He has been well schooled by those who sent him ... So a young lady was dragged off your bus and you went to park the bus at BRT yard and just went home to sleep without making a report ?

Why did you pick passenger from a non designated bus stop?

Why did you switch off the light ?

Why did you pass her bus stop ?

Why did you make passes at her ?

Below is a video of him saying he raped her immediately he was arrested and suddenly after being taking into custody he comes up with another silly story
