Sadiq Umar being in primary list and Taiwo Awoniyi on standby list, what rationale is behind that if not quota system?

IPIG terrorist monkeys thinks everyone is favored except them, it's pathetic how they are so delusional on everything.
This guy was one of the best players in the last tournament. Yet they are still wailing and crying.
These people see tribe and religion in everything. Brainwashed set of pathetic souls.

That was how one person here on Nairaland was saying that the criticism on Maduka is because he is Igbo. Is Carl Ikeme not Igbo? And is he not very much loved and adored here in Nigeria? Don't we love Iheanacho? Don't we still adore Okocha, Kanu, and many of our other legends who are Igbos?

They want to destroy our biggest unifying factor.

It is our duty as Nigerians to ensure that tribalism is never brought near our Super Eagles.

Jay Jay Okocha started the nonsense - after the SE lost to Tunisia, he heaped so much blame on Eguavoen - like Eguavoen killed someone - what happened to the SE would have happened to any team in the tournament, even the reigning champions Senegal. Nigeria won 3 straight matches, one against Egypt, the runner-up, before losing to Tunisia - we tried just that we lost a game at the knockout stages which eclipsed our earlier wins. Okocha, a man who has never coached any team before - who doesnt know how to put up a list of primary school team criticized Egauvoen like he was talking to about an im be cile - I never heard Okocha criticize Christian Chukwu an Igbo man like that when he was getting poor results as Coach of the SE. Yes, Umar is right, Tribalism is real in Nigeria, unfortunately!

He should shut up and play football.

Putting such nonsense on front news and highlighting it by these kind of stuuuupid utterences does not help him, the team or society in any way.

This kind of stuupid quota claims have been happening for decades and, after his foolish whining, will still continue happening.

He is just supplying fuel for the naturally stuuupid Nigerians that make such claims.

So, Umar, shut up and go play football! Your IQ is obviously not high.

If he said this then he needs to be slapped for generalisation. Because a few do it doesn't mean he should give it publicity. Does he think before talking?

Carl Ikeme is not Igbo.

Nobody was talking about Sadiq, everyone was complaining about Ighalo, Moses and Onazi. None of whom are from the north.

The uproar following that controversial teamlist, that saw him make the squad and Taiwo put on standby, is responsible for this latest Sadiq outburst o.
At AFCON, he kept whinging about the way the fans criticized his play against Egypt. It didn't end there. After dude was called out for missing a glorious chance to help the team get the leveller against Tunisia, he still had something to yap about.

That guy needs real help.

Bigotry will spoil our football just like English team struggling with racism.

That is because we all know the true intention of the quota system and who it schemes to favour.

The same logic was simply applied to the football team which is why your merit was called into question.

In case you don't know, Oduduwa nation is going. We are fed up of this killling and poverty-inducing machine you guys call One Nigga-area.

It is visible to the blind that he got into the Primary list through quota system. There is no justification for him to be in the primary list and Taiwo Awoniyi on standby list, if you judge their recent performance both in their respective club and in the just concluded AFCON.

Trash!

Okocha was working as a PUNDIT and he had every right to air his opinion as an analyst..

Was he working as a pundit when Chukwu was the Coach?

No!

The same Chukwu was criticised by the media during his time..

And NOW Okocha..

As part of the media criticised Eguavoen and it became tribalism?

Guy,you no get talk.. angry

Everything he said is absolutely correct and the facts in ground. It has destroyed our national team several times.

The game should be about competence not what team u play for even if ur out of form or past glory or tribe.

He said it all.

Just stop this tribal sentiment already. His performance was just average at best. Many people criticized Iwobi for his drop in form before and during AFCON. Ejuke and Chukwueze were below par also, inspite of the latter's solitary goal. You have been invited. Pull your weight. His lack of pace and balance does not do him a world of good. Ahmed Musa remains the team captain inspite of his below par performance, mostly due to age. But he has paid his due for the super eagle. This is his swan song.
