He defeated before running on pdp ticket .he would have resigned before running on pdp ticket. He was still governor of apc before defecting ..After defection, he seizes to be apc governor . Another apc candidate would ve been nominated a governor so that obaseki can now start afresh with pdp. There is merit in the case .

So what will APC be asking for? grin grin grin

That Obaseki should vacate a seat won by PDP for APC because of a mandate that expired over a year ago?

If the judge doesn't use the gavel to split the head of any lawyer bringing this up, then he is too gentle

The case has no merit sir. APC had a lot of internal squabble. Aside that, Obaseki would only be asked to return of all the salaries & security votes he earned from the point of defection to the expiration of his tenure.

Obaseki was disqualified from APC Primaries in his first term as Governor by Oshiomole led NWC, so he defected to PDP
APC should have also gone to court during Obaseki first term to remove him for decamping.
He won his 2nd term election under PDP
APC are chasing shadows, they are always confused, even to elect a new national chairman and hold their national convention, they are still confused
[/b]
leave them, let them go and make fool of themselves in court.. Maybe they tink Edo is an ordinary state. Obaseki may not need to say anything. The aggressive blood of the youth of the state will do the talking. Those ones wey their head no dey house.

In law there is a time limit to seek redress ( status bar) . If after 3 year you failed to institute a sued and no new fresh findings or revelations were made, the courts can't entertain such cases.

The judgement asking umahi to vacate office has no place in our law. There is no place inn our law where it was mentioned that a governor can be removed for defecting to another party. It will require constitutional amendment to achieve that .

They know they will loose more federal seats at boths rep levels and Senate levels.

Zamfara will be affected
Ebonyi is gone
Cross river is gone
Most deflected senators and rep members will smell pepper ️️️ and the funny thing is that this will be domesticated all through the country Doen to the state level and local govt.

I thought there was an amendment to that effect. The problem I have with our constitution is that the there too many loopholes that can be exploited at any given time.

None of the judgment can stand. Even the judgmentsacking Ebonyi state Governor can't even stand.
DrGoodman:
Obaseki ran on a PDP ticket, APC will lose again.

As foe the others, there's already a judicial precedence, especially when the supreme Court ratifies it.

I laugh in Chinese. It seems the cause of action is dead as it was not exercised when it arose. You cannot place something on nothing and expect it to stand.

Kolewerk.

Cos of action is dead and so will the suit be. DOA.

One notice of preliminary objection and the case goes through the window as it is not permitted to return the same way it came.
