He defeated before running on pdp ticket .he would have resigned before running on pdp ticket. He was still governor of apc before defecting ..After defection, he seizes to be apc governor . Another apc candidate would ve been nominated a governor so that obaseki can now start afresh with pdp. There is merit in the case .

One reason why Nigeria is a failed democracy or rather why APC and PDP are two of the same parcels if members can switch allegiance so easily. But people will swear to their core that APC and PDP are so different.

I think the ground the constitution permits, under which someone may defect to another party is when there's crisis in a political party.

The likes of Amaechi apparently, purposefully, created crisis in PDP before dumping the party in 2015.

So, if there are crisis at the time of defection to the opposition of those in question, APC may not have a very good case.

It was still running yes but election was needed to re-new it,he was rejected PDP never rejected umahi.

You are right by half because he seek a fresh mandate from through the PDP. I hope you have sense.

As for me I don't care who is affected by this decision they will most likely uphold the federal high court Judgement because to judgement was Epic and made sense to every mind that feel it.

So all supreme court judge we most likely not give a different judgement.

APC has no case, all these peoples they want sue left PDP as elected officers. Tambuwal and Sariki were legislatures before defecting to APC. There were crisis in APC when they defected to PDP... The constitution covers them. APC is using this to stall Umahi's sacking by the court.
