Exactly, my view too. Even if the war stops now, the damages has already been done to both Russian and Ukraine. For Ukraine, the world might be willing to render assistance so they could bounce back. But one can't say that about Russian.

Why are Nigerians more concern and worried about the sanctions than Russians, we are here with no light,no fuel and alot of pressing issues but we seem to be concern with Russia and sanctions.they are living better than us before sanctions and I still believe that they are still living well even with the sanctions...

You people are too narrow focused to recognize that there are other nations besides America and Europe. The world has been gradually moving away from the Anglo-American influence.
China is waxing strong economically, technologically and Militarily. China is gradually overtaking the US economy in size and technologically output. India is waxing strong economically, technologically and Militarily. The Asian Tigers, the Middle Eastern countries, Brazil and other South American countries, South Africa and the rest of Africa are emerging trading blocks that can easily be accessed and tapped by Russia for trade and technology exchange.
Russia and China had already developed their own international finance system to bypass the SWIFT system controlled by US. They have long abandoned the USD as medium of bilateral trade between the 2 nations.
