Sanctions mean zero im[portation of capital and raw material, it means zero goods and services for a long time to come, it means Russia can not longer service loans and international obligations, it means defaults and junk ratings from now on, it means zero investments and job creation from outside of Russia.

Militarily, Russia might be a match for the west, but when it comes to economic warfare like sanctions, Russia stands no chance. There are many sanctions that can still be applied, but you might be mindful of how it affects the ordinary innocent people in Russia.
