bizbrainko: Every one deserves a pay rise. Inasmuch as the police can make case for it, it still wouldn't stop them from being corrupt |

To me that 100k small. They should start from 250k at least it will reduce bribery. If e easy make senators or HoR make Dem carry gun stand under sun. D money can be gotten from the senators salary if they slash it by 40% down. |

Many foolish Nigerian "yoots" are on this thread agreeing with their demands. Cretins, where should the funds come from? Later, you will see the same poorly educated creeeetins start screaming that Buhari is borrowing and increasing Nigeria's debt. Fooooools! 1 Like |

Let's join and with our officers on dis, paying our security personnel's well will go a long way to average Nigerians atleast d high rate of extortion will reduce... Let's not forget dat d citizens make up the police, as most r retiring other citizens are taken over |

It's quite unfortunate that we have leaders that are just existing... But does the police know what they're actually doing and the risk involved in protest as a civil servant in this country? I believe their action is a joke because they're signing anonymously. In as much as i support them on this, most of them may loose their jobs on the ground that they abandoned their duty and leave the populace insecured and vulnerable to danger against their oath. There are other ways to go about this. Why not sue them to court via human rights agency instead? Well, like Trump (send F52 craft with chinese flag to bomb russia, then let's sit and watch) I think it's time for the police to suffer what we went through during and after #endsars protest. Na turn by turn. Guys, now, na them them... So, let's sit back and watch! |

Good one, enough of treating our officers like slave. How can a police officer with wife and children survive with 47 in this country. How can someone serve for 35 yrs and he cannot go home with 2m.This is the reason for corruption in the force, everybody wants to survive by all means. |

Slurity:You can't compare a life threatening job to any other civil service job.The police deserve more pay because the job is full of stress and risk.A police officers can stay 6_12 months in an operation ground without the hope of coming back alive and without seeing his family. The reason why police officers are corrupt is because government make it like that. |

Re: Police Officers Demand N100,000 Minimum Wage Or Go On Strike by tarantino1: 2:24pm On Mar 18, 2022 |
TUTU147: Were they forced to become police officers? Did anyone put a gun to their heads? They knew the risk when they decided to join the police force and asking for special treatment because of that is pure nonsense. They have no special rights to demand for benefits that other government workers do not have. When people are given power without any repercussions if misused, abuse of that power is inevitable. It is human nature and it has gone on for thousands of years. That is the reason why the corruption in the NP still exists today and also why our politicians are also corrupt as well. Raising their salaries will not curb their excesses at all. |
