The judicial system has been monetized criminally to enhance crime than to fight it.
We have seen it from the lowest rate that the system is totally inept , bereft and made to monetize crime than to fight crime.
The guilty is discharged and the innocent is charged guilty
A case study:A typical police station.
When a criminal is caught and is taken to a police station .
Those who called the police to arrest a thief or brought the thief to the police station suddenly gives up because of the cost of getting justice is higher than the cost of what crime has taken or brought about.
In the police station now, it is the police men who would be telling the criminal what to say to make him innocent.
They would tell the offended person seeking redress or Justice to bring some certain amount of money before they can get justice.
These policemen knows that the Lawyer representing the prosecution or the defendant would also charge their own levies either to convict or to win a case for any side.
They see this and sometimes influence the whole procedures in such a way as to make money.
This is what is happening and it gets to an extent that the person who called for the arrest of an offender becomes tired of all the processes and decides to drop the case against the criminal.
It is not news again as to how the person who is arrested has to be fed by the money of the person who arrested them.
As the day continues and goes by, we see it that what suppose to be legal fees for all judicial procedures is more monetized than the proceedings itself and Justice is not achieved.
This is why you as a person who has no money to spend would see that the POLICE is not your friend as the say.
Some Nigerians don't want to have anything to do with the police because they always compel the innocent to admit to a crime and write a statement under duress as they have been trained to do so.
Nigerian police sometimes don't want to make use of concrete evidence to close a case and charge a criminal to court so as to see the prosecutor achieves reprieve .
Instead, they prefer to release a criminal once they can see Money from him.
A typical case is that of the International kidnapper called evans.
We see how the police was protecting him because of what he had in his stolen compartments and his value as a criminal was more than his victims.
This is why things continue all through this way.
Crime is now a good market for the Nigerian police.
I don't totally blame the police as they have been bastardized by lack of motivation etc.
We see that it all happens.
When we ask ourselves what is more important in the justice system, we find out that it is not even Justice itself but its Money!!!!
The life of a criminal or a victim is not important to the Police!!!
Brutality is the first fear the police creates in achieving their duties.
It is a misduty, that is why when the ill equipped police are sent on an emergency mission, they retort to arresting the wrong people , they resort to clamping down on the innocent and using brute force in enforcing the law illegally.
Today, many youths are in the prisons for no crime by the wrong arrests made by the police.
Some also are victims of extrajudicial killings.
We see that it occurs all about.
What can now happen or what can be done to stop all these things
Absolutely nothing!!! Why!!! Its because those who joined the police have no commitment to be policemen but joined the police out of survival motive.
They see any means of policing as a means to make money and this is why we see it all.
Many join the force out of frustration, dejection and depression.
Many join the force out of vengeance or because they want to get back at someone who abused them verbally or emotionally, sexually or mentally.
Imagine such a thing occuring.
The mental state of most service men is unstable.
What has the government done about police reformation glorified by the press!!!
Nothing, than loot money .it doesnt matter what they create or achieve.
The police has become the federal dogs for the government and has lost its power of jurisdiction.
They have been reduced to beggers in uniforms and have a penchant for bribes.
There is so much inhumane training given to the police rookie in an inhumane enviroment to make him inhuman.
A close look at the dilapidated police college in Lagos state sometime ago sheds light on the gory upbringing of the policeman.
It is despicable and shameful and frustrating.
Its a shame and so saddening.
As the world gets worse and worse everyday, the judicial system is another example of worsening humanitarian crisis ready to explode at any time.
It is such that it occurs at that time unless both the police and the citizens come to a conclusive agreement on policing.
The days of policing with monetary gain would then be over.
It is not good for us all to continue in this way and be policing nothing but criminals with Money.
