As 2023 draws near, Nigeria expects a new president as President Buhari will. Be ending his maximum tenure of 8years.

As we already know, Nigeria is not a one religion country and in order to strike a balance, there is a culture of having the president and vice president coming from different religion as we have clearly seen in the case of Obasanjo/Atiku, Yaradua/Goodluck Jonathan, Goodluck Jonathan/Sambo and currently Buhari/Osinbajo.

This may not be a constitutional rule but it has created a healthy balance in religious representation at the highest authority and i perfectly believe this is the way to go and the practice should be continued.

It is interesting to know that
A group known as Northern States Christian Elders Forum (NOSCEF) has threatened to resist and reject any attempt by any Political Party to field a Muslim-Muslim ticket saying it will be very insensitive and selfish for any Party to even think in that direction. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2021/12/2023-dont-dream-of-muslim-muslim-ticket-northern-christian-elders-warn-tinubu-others/amp/

At the moment this will be a challenge for the likes of Tinubu and perhaps any other Muslim presidential hopeful from the South who will most likely pick a vice presidential aspirant from the North who will most likely be a Muslim too. And it will also be a challenge for any Christian presidential aspirant who hopes to pick a vice from same religion.

But then i would like to throw this open for discussion. Let's have your views on this.

Only RCCG members will vote osinbajo like theraregem and okefrancis. The rest of the country will not vote for a Muslim hater like osinbajo

If you take a careful study of how president 's have emerged in Nigeria since the 4th republic of 1999, you will notice that all the Presidents have been people who did not struggle themselves for the Post.

President Obasanjo was in Prison when he Brought and Bundled out to become President.

In 2007, Governor Odili and others were busy juggling round the places, spending funds. President Yaradua did not struggle. From no where he was given the ticket and made President.

We all know President GEJ story. From Governorto Vice to President, no struggle. It came to him stresslessly. Infact GEJ became President without Election.

President Buhari had struggled and struggled to be President with no result.
In 2015, when he didn't struggle, a Collation of Parties and People came together and Forced it on him.

Tell Bullion van to go rest and take care of his health.
The Presidential candidate of Apc has not started campaigning.

At least make your parents proud by being coherent.

Your post is totally out of sync with the subject.

Is there any party that have chosen to make the President and Vice a Muslim/Muslim ticket?

Before Buhari became the president, the cries was that he will islamise Nigeria

As islamising Nigeria issue no fit sell again, is now about Muslim/Muslim ticket.

None of the two major party will be so stupid to fill a Muslim/Muslim ticket.

Mad o.

So you only need the north to vote i guess.

You need to understand what it means to be declared winner of a presidential election in Nigeria.

Let me educate you.

The President of Nigeria is elected using a modified two round system, to be elected in the first round, a candidate must receive a majority of the vote and over 25% of the vote in at least 24 of the 36 states. If no candidate passes this threshold, a second round is held.

How many states make up the north? Definitely far below 24 meaning you need other states too.

So think well before making your assertions.

I learnt that was why Tinubu presented Osinbajo just to balance things up.

My fears for Tinubu right now is the possibility of his Muslim Muslim ticket.

He needs to have a northerner as vice so the northerner should be a christian.

Who will it be?

History won't be kind to the bastard that brought these fake foreign religions to Africa. See how y'all are deeply divided in religious lines.

Instead of you people to be advocating for meritocracy, you keep talking about religion and ethnicity. Fvcked up continent.

So meritocracy is particular to one religion.

It is about creating a balance of power.

I told somebody this is the number one reason any Muslim candidate from South is not likely to make it to Aso Rock.
It's more like Northern - Muslim and Southern - Christian.

North will not present Christian candidate, Christians will not take Muslim - Muslim ticket.

This is a road block for somebody.

May be in the next generation, it would not be a matter.
But as it is in this country today, religion and ethnicity are attached to politics

All these happened, when the votes didnt count. When the useless IPOP party called PDP, writes results of elections. There is sanity and fairness in our election processes now . If you fielded an unpopular person, you would lose woefully.

Nonetheless, Buhari was also gallivanting for decades before, he became the president. So quit this Nnamdi Cownu infested thought.

Was there no primaries in APC in 2015 where Bihari emerged as winner? Did Atiku not contest against him?
