BEST JOURNALIST OF ALL TIME (NIGERIA)

The story is told of how scribblers of old are excused by the most sacrilegious, from the violence of war. Journalists, even in the modern world had no such courtesy extended to them. By their will power, they kept the true narrative flowing, disregarding imminent threat. Their pen, countless times akin to the most potent weapons, did not run dry when it most matter.

Journalist and executive of the Newswatch magazine, a foremost Nigerian periodical founded in 1984. As reflected in his editorial, Dele Giwa believed the rarer the the story, the more important.

Nigerian first generation politician and journalist who gained a reputation in the 1920s as a colorful nationalist.
