It depends on the group they found themselves. I saw their play during African cup of nation and found out they have grits and strength to play but lack finesse, creativity and technicalities to withstand super teams from Europe and South America. Therefore any grouping that pitched them with those footballing nation is automatic exit in the group stage. Ability of any African team to progress solely depends on the groupings but be it as it may if I am to randomly take a guess African team to do well, it is CAMEROON. they have characters and focus to withstand tough matches and that may add to their luck.

Rooting for Senegal all the way! I'm not too pained about Nigeria's failure to qualify cos with looking at both teams, it's safe to conclude that it was a battle of who will go and embarrass the continent. I'm glad Ghana got the ticket

Let's hope France puts an end to this ridiculous trend of European defending champions getting knocked out of the group stages.
