mrvitalis: I agree with you. Humans don't just become good and nice all of a sudden but they don't become bad and evil all of a sudden either. Everything starts from somewhere and it's all about the orientation we are privy to. For instance, Haiti is a very poor country where a large population of humans live below average but do you know that if you travel to Haiti today and you eventually meet a random Haitian and give him/her a $100 note to help you look for change or buy you some goods and return the balance, there is a 98% chance that Haitian would return with the change or balance even though you just met for the first time? He/she can only return and ask for something in return for running that errand for you but the idea of going away with your money since you are a stranger and probably won't be able to trace them won't be in their minds. Try this with a random 9 year old in 9ja and your $100 dollar note is gone forever. This is because of the orientation we have here. Till today, Haitian women still take off their clothes in the market to test the size of a bra and their fellow Haitian men and women won't even give any attention to such. This is all because of their orientation making their society less perverted unlike ours. It may take time to change the orientation but it is achievable through our academic curriculum and how seriously we take or enforce our laws. |

I would advise you proceed to dismantling that unity southern nonsense there. Let everybody answer his or her father's name. There is no southern whatever.. We see all these and it's mind relaxing. Anyways you can only dish to South west, the moment 25 people are killed in onitsha by Fulani, then you know it's the end... You will be eaten raw.hahahahahah. Princeadebayo11: You are not far from the truth. That is why the terrorism problem is a problem of underdevelopment. The only thing saving the West from such is the existence of these motor park touts and other menial jobs. Imagine we pull out those so called 'agberos' from our roads and there are no jobs for them? They will also go into kidnapping and robbery. I think while it is more prominent in the North; The problem of overpopulation is a National one. Out of School children are everywhere without the requisite skills to even do 'handwork'. We should stop giving birth to more children than we can take care of plssssssssssss! |

SOUTHWEST SKULLS MINERS ARE THE MAIN PROBLEMS.....Imagine digging a grave to harvest skull for ritual and even go as far as killing and harvesting human organs in the name of one nonsense 'oshole' I use to think that southwest are the most educated region but was wrong when I encountered their so-called graduates who do nothing other than to brag. The south east on the other hand are not that educated but are far more educated than the south west region but their stupidity which makes them foolish in all aspects of life is the believe that all northerners are hausas. |

respect80: Just look at the way you tactically dodge the main topic. Which one is restructure of the mind? The utopia nation you see in your dream is not in existence in any part of the world. Human are created to be selfish, stubborn and lazy, it is the society through law and order that shape and control citizen behaviour. Nigeria need outright restructure where equity and fairness would be the standard rule. |
Re: Northern Nigeria Is Our Problem In Nigeria!!! by respect80(m): 10:58pm On Mar 30, 2022 |
Ttalk:How come you ended up recommending equity and fairness when you claimed I completely deviated from the subject matter?? I already talked about an egalitarian society but here you are telling me that humans are created stubborn and blablabla... FYI, humans are not created stubborn. Human behaviour is to a large extent influenced by environment and the kind of orientation they get from the ab-initio. I also agree with you that there is no perfect society anywhere in the world, but you too would agree that some climes are definitely saner than others and I believe that is what every sound mind should look forward to. Back to your question in bold Mind restructuring in this context simply means to place our minds in a state of awareness that humanity should be placed above everything else in the existential hierarchy of mankind. The awareness that not just our own interest, but other people's interests matters as well. Things would be different if we could first of all see humanity before we see our ethnic or religious differences. This can only be achieved by going back to the drawing board to teach the younger generation the importance of humanity and a judicious enforcement of law and orderliness amongst the older generation without fear or favour. Considering the current nigerian situation, regional restructuring can't be as effective as many people think with the kind of orientation we currently have because even if the social unit is as small as a nuclear family, it will still be in total chaos if our minds are not structured to see humanity first before anything else. This is because the problem of majority and minority will continue to persist except you are only craving for restructuring where your tribe will be the majority. The man from Anambra considers himself to be more igbo than the man from Enugu. The man from Oyo considers himself to be more Yoruba than the man from Osun. Engage the Igala man from Kogi and tell him you heard Kogi people eat dog and he will simply tell you it's not a common practice among them but the Yoruba people in Kogi west. Tell the Bende LG man that you were told Abia people eat humans and watch him point fingers at the people of Isialangwa and vice versa. |

Re: Northern Nigeria Is Our Problem In Nigeria!!! by Ttalk: 11:41pm On Mar 30, 2022 |
respect80: Stop preaching what is not applicable in real life. There is nothing like seen yourself as the next man to you. Even your point corroborated it as we are majorly influenced by our environment. There is Igbo identity, Yoruba, Igala Hausa Fulani identity, but what is Nigeria identity? What are the cultural and traditional values that makes us one? Don't mention religion or Nigeria state because all that are products of foreigners, Nigeria people can never be one as there is no orientation that would erase the natural inborn trait that makes us different. Why do we continue to lie to ourselves when the problem is staring us in the face? Why don't we agree that our foundation is faulty and we are not one and if we want to agree to live together should be our collective decision? Why do we term the creation of white as an act of God? What is difficult in peaceful agreement or peaceful dissolution? Why should we continue to allow our people to be killed because of one Nigeria? Who is really benefitting from one Nigeria? Now who told you that conform with my belief? What if I placed religion above humanity based on my belief and culture, what if I placed success above humanity? Is there a general consensus for your assertion? This is where the problem lies, we understand things differently based on whom we are as different people. Unless we come to term with our differences and agree based on our own terms, then we would not have any headway as a country. Nigeria is a country of different nation, to agree to be a country, the nation's must agree on their terms, that should be the foundation where every other things are build, the foundation of a family is marriage, which is agreement between husband and wife to come together 1 Like |
Re: Northern Nigeria Is Our Problem In Nigeria!!! by respect80(m): 6:30am On Mar 31, 2022 |
Ttalk: Have you heard of unity in diversity?? It seems you only wish to argue but ended up contradicting yourself. If you think that unity in diversity can't be achieved through proper orientation of the importance of humanity then why do you call for a regional restructuring that will still include different tribes? Why not call for a restructuring that would see a single ethnic group live independently? Why are you supporting a kind of restructuring that will see the igbo, ijaw, kalabari, ibibio, ikwere etc still jumbled up as one? Since unity can't be achieved even with the slightest diversity, why not call for a restructuring that will see the whole social until fragmented into the smallest possible entity? Perhaps to nuclear families or even individuals so that we can all live independently of one another. For you to dare to ask, what if you placed religion above humanity or what if you placed success above humanity simply shows the depth of how shallow any human being could think. Finally, you asked what the cultural or traditional values that makes us one are... It might interest you to know that we were not born with the cultural and traditional values you speak of but we all learnt it from our environment and that is the more reason it is possible to find a common unifying factor that can make us coexist through teaching, learning, reorientation and proper enforcement of laws and orderliness. |

respect80: Unity in in diversity! What does it mean exactly? Is it a concept, a thirty or a doctrine. If a musician coin the phrase Zazzu and it became popular jingle, does that makes it meaningful? If some oratory politicians play with word and use the phrase "unity in diversity" as oxymoron in a speech or article, does that translate to unity? Have Nigeria ever be United, is there sign that it will be United in this generation? |

Ttalk:Then agitate for a restructuring that will consist of only your tribe, family or even yourself as an individual so that you can live independently as you wish. This is how people like you will call for restructuring so that you can have other minority tribes under yours to lord over them. If there's no way the hausa, igbo, yoruba and idoma man can be united and live in peace according to you, then there's no way the igbo, ikwere, ijaw and ibibio man can live in peace either. People are wiser now and the idea of "divide and rule" won't work as easily as you expect so deal with it. |

mrvitalis:He is trying to be politically correct. Such people don't face facts and believe they're more intelligent than everyone else. Someone says the north is Nigeria's problem? How do you counter that easily with honesty? Impossible! All you have to do is to check all available developmental indices and see it's true. Start with literacy rate. Kano has a literacy rate below 30%. Look at poverty indices, same thing. Then Islamic terrorism. Just to name a few. And then each election, if things don't go their way, they turn destructive. They claim to have a population larger than the south, now imagine where Nigeria would be if that population is half as productive as the population down south ( which, permit me to say can hardly be described as terribly productive, but at least there's a semblance of sanity here). Just two days ago, a train was attacked by this same northerners. If you know the importance of railway to a country's development, then you'll see clearly that as long as the north remains a part of Nigeria, the country is not going to develop. |
