They live very simple lives. They are also not sophisticated somehow.

Have you ever seen a deer or a cow on the road before? Even with the speed of an oncoming car, many times you see them trot carelessly. It is you that is the onlooker that would fear for their life -- that is because you are more evolved to interpret danger.

Also religious indoctrination like if you die, you make heaven, paradise etc. makes many of them lackadaisical. Many of them also believe earthly suffering and even being killed increases the odds for a perpetual celestial bliss.

Add all these things with lack of education, enlightenment and history... and you see serious wahala don dey.

Prof Akintoye traveled to a summit in Sokoto and when he laid out plans on how restructuring would benefit all regions and how it can bring enlightenment to the pauperised peoples of the north, the northern elites told Akintoye that he should not think for them.

Bro, some of us in the south seriously underestimate the bondage which is Nigeria. Even many in the south just go to school but are not intelligent or enlightened enough so well yet to understand the extreme danger which is one Nigeria. because they go to the market and as a Yoruba, they see an Igbo or a Calabar woman there, and they all get along... Or maybe at church, in the choir, the Igbo, Yoruba, Edo all love themselves, they then think Nigeria being one is not much of a problem.

To me, this kind of people fail to see the big picture.

Nupe, Gbagyi and Hausa, Koro, Kadara, Kambari, Kamuku, Pangu, Bassa, Bauchi, Dukawa, Gade, Godara, Ganagana, Dukawa, Mauchi, Ayadi, Ingwai, Dibo, Kadanda, Gulengi, Abishiwa and Shigini tribes.

For those who don't know, the North has far more tribes than we in the south. The notorious Fulani-Hausa attache concept cannot work onall of these tribes. They will try to displace as many, kill as many... especially the men. The women will be raped and a generation of half-breed Fulani will be born. It is these ones that will dilute a possible future revolt.

That is why the core Hausa states are in a serious mess. Also the reason why Ilorin people look aloof when matters of Yoruba is discussed. They seem confused. Very likely Fulanis will conquer the whole of the North. It may only take time but with the way things are going, they will.
