Presidential campaign posters of the incumbent Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Godwin Emefiele have flooded Damaturu, the Yobe State capital.

DAILY POST observed on Monday that on the posters, it was boldly written ‘Godwin Emefiele as President with Governor Mai Mala Buni as Vice President’ and have already dotted strategic locations in the metropolis including the famous central roundabout which is located at the heart of the city.

The posters equally contained captivating captions, “A CALL TO SERVE; Emefiele & Mai Mala Buni 2023”.

It was also observed that similar campaigns posters of other presidential candidates such as Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi State and Gov. David Umahi of Ebonyi State have earlier been pasted around the state capital.

At the time of filing in this report, no group or individual has claimed responsibility of sponsoring the production and pasting of the posters in the state.

The people behind this have stolen enough money to do this.

There is no smoke without fire, Emiefele should call call these people thst are doing this ( with or without his knowledge) to order.

When he resigns from CBN he can hang his poster all over Nigeria. We will ask him then why he thinks he deserves the role with his performance.

I will rather vote for satan than vote for that emefoolie. Worst CBN president in history. Cripple the naira completely. He's policy destroyed my business completely. I have a company in Kenya and Uganda. You can't even send more than 20 dollars a month from Nigeria to Kenya. He's policy has completely destroys the lively hood of Nigerians that runs business outside the country or depends on forex to run their business . Foolish man

It won't be a surprise if Buhari endorses Emefiele. Emefiele has implemented Buhari's senseless exchange rate fixing which is the prime reason why the nation's economy has done very poorly under this government.

Dangote may also support his campaign as he provided him with all the dollars he needed in respect of the gigantic refinery at Lekki.

Emefiele has also been a supporter of Buhari's rice sufficiency policy by doling out massive loans to farmers at concessionary rates. This has led to the "rice pyramids" which a critic termed "a glorification of subsistence farming". That man hit the nail on the head.

Apart from rice, he has supported many other backward integration policies such as cotton. I am not a fan of his as I believe the market should be allowed to pick winners and not the government. Governments globally suck at picking winners. The market discovered Nollywood and the Nigerian music industry and not government policy.
