It is still a better combination than Atiku/Obi. I don’t understand why you Igbos are against any combination that has the SS and North. You don’t want Wike, you don’t Emefiele, and you don’t want Tinubu. All you want is a slavery Atiku/Obi ticket that won’t change anything and keep the rest of the south in bondage. SMH.

It won't be a surprise if Buhari endorses Emefiele. Emefiele has implemented Buhari's senseless exchange rate fixing which is the prime reason why the nation's economy has done very poorly under this government.

Dangote may also support his campaign as he provided him with all the dollars he needed in respect of the gigantic refinery at Lekki.

Emefiele has also been a supporter of Buhari's rice sufficiency policy by doling out massive loans to farmers at concessionary rates. This has led to the "rice pyramids" which a critic termed "a glorification of subsistence farming". That man hit the nail on the head.

Apart from rice, he has supported many other backward integration policies such as cotton. I am not a fan of his as I believe the market should be allowed to pick winners and not the government. Governments globally suck at picking winners. The market discovered Nollywood and the Nigerian music industry and not government policy.

Emiefele is even still worse than you think, he is the worst CBN governor in the history of Nigeria and only an oaf like Buhari would have inherited a dullard like Emiefele and still see a reason for keeping him. Very useless country we find ourselves

I doubt he will get the presidency but his political moves may explain a lot about his submitting to policies that should make any economist cringe.

Since the CBN has some autonomy, he should have told off the president when he started fixing the exchange rates. PMB's woeful understanding of economics is not debatable. The Organized Private Sector and State governments would have supported the CBN governor if he had simply lectured them on the disaster waiting to happen with the president meddling in the foreign market.

The economy has paid a huge price. Economic growth has lagged and unemployment very high.

Why is everyone after this man's head? He devalued the Naira under the instruction of the President. And the devalued Naira was made to encourage us to produce more for export.
One dollar equates to about 1,219 Korean Won, yet no one complains. Since We Nigerians have refused to be self sufficient, he created Policies to make us productive. And lets not forget, the numerous Agric grants being disbursed under his administration.
