And yet the government makes no attempt to arrest and prosecute the operators of these schemes. They fleece people of their hard earned cash and still live like kings in their hideouts. |

What about the ones that didn't use extraordinary returns to lure investors, yet defaulted and owing investors billions of naira? Is 3% a month an extra ordinary returns? So what is CBN doing about these set of investment companies? |

If they're unlicensed, that means they're breaking a law, what are you supposed to do to law breakers? Are you not supposed to clamp down on them? Instead you're passing the buck to the citizens, how about those who're not able to tell a licensed from an unlicensed operator? This my fellow Ika man just dey fall hands anyhow. |

somehow: 3% per month compounded interest is equal to 42.6% per year. Why borrow money at such interest rate when you can easily get a loan from the bank if you can demonstrate that your business is viable? |

dorox: They didnt promise any compounded interest. It's 3% per month only because you're leaving your money with them for 9 to 12 months. That's 30% in 9 months and 36% in 12 months. Can we say these rates are extra ordinary? |
