We have some Christian women who are in Abusive Marriages. Some are frustrated already, and some churches may not be providing absolute support for them. What is the way out to an Abusive marriage. (1) Prayers: Praying is essential when in an Abusive marriage. Reporting to God in prayers about the situation is a sign of reverence and humility to God. (2) Seek Counsel: It is good to seek Godly counsel. The bible says "In the multitude of counselors there is safety".. Seek Counsel from matured Christians on what steps to take, how to react, how to pray about it, how to behave in the situation etc. (3) Temporally Separate: If your life is threatened in an Abusive marriage, temporarily separate. Temporal seperation may take a long time or a short time. You temporarily seperate till your spouse changes or till God confirms to you they are truly changed. It depend on the extent of the abuse. If it is domestic violence omo, find your way out o. God hates divorce,but he hates you loosing your life in an abusive marriage more than divorce |
