|Paying For Darkness In Nigeria by Derrylatei: 6:03am On Apr 13|
Many people received their normal "NEPA" bill despite the total national grid collapse for the month of March, 2022 for over 2 weeks and even after it was fixed, we barely have power. Will this injustice and corruption continue unabated? How long are we going to keep silence over this? I think we need to speak out because nobody will do that for us. The Nigeria consumer protection council is silence neither is Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission is talking.
For how long will this menace continue unabated. Those it mean Nigeria is a banana republic or what?

Babatunde Raji Fashola is the reason we keep on paying for electricity not provided. There was a plan to criminalize estimated billing when he was minister of power but he stood against it. He said that "if estimated billing is criminalised, it will discourage investors from investing in power sector" . Just imagine the criminal mentality of a minister . Whenever I receive estimated bills from these people who have blatantly refused to supply prepaid meters, all I think about is Fashola as the reason I'm being robbed by these thieves.

Derrylatei:for the NERC you spoke about, they are all part of the same gang, they are also shareholders to some of these power companies. There was a time they mistakenly or carelessly even included the money they will use to settle the National assembly in their budget proposal!!!. That tells you how far the country has gone to the dogs. Both regulators, and the companies they are supposed to regulate are gang mates.
