Sub Saharan desert with scattered population vs Densely populated Tropical rain forest zone It's a no brainer why Katsina has large useless inhabitable land mass with few people, while Akure has less land .. |

It's only Northern Nigeria that defies why more people would live near the sea or water source.Simple knowledge of human migration elucidates that littoral states are usually more densely populated than landlocked states. The reason they'd always give is Islam and polygamy. My question even as a kid is, why is Niger Republic ( a predominantly Islamic country) not more populated than Nigeria?
