Realists:

Mkpurumiris will always wail at the slightest opportunity in other for them to criticize anything that will reduce the killings of innocent Nigerians.
Due to the level of insecurities in the country, a helicopter escort of our rail line is a well come development. These Mkpurumiris supported Ameilika their god country, when they replaced Taliban with Taliban after spending Trillions of Dollars, but here we are with them insulting FGN for protecting innocent citizens. Na dem, dem over Sabi.

Hope you are not expecting a clap cos you ain't making any sense, you are talking down on America as if you'll not get on a plane of given an American visa.
Who'll pay for the extra expenses for a helicopter escorts, how long would they continue flying such helicopters and would helicopters would be designated to all our rail tracks?
Don't know why people like you won't just for one's think about lasting solutions instead.

Nigerians on social media have reacted to a video in which a helicopter was accompanying a train to its destination. This is apparently an effort to safeguard the train against bandits’ attacks.

The video which was shared by Echefula Wisdom attracted many negative reactions. According to the reactions that followed the video on Twitter, it is a waste of resources for Nigeria to make use of the helicopter in protecting the train.

According to some commentators, bandits could easily attack the helicopter.

Below are some of the reactions as gathered by WonderTV Media.

Re: Video Of Helicopter Accompanying A Train In Nigeria Causes Stir On Social Media by COMPAQ(m): 2:29am On Apr 18, 2022
But really I don't see why there is so much negativity about the user of helicopters. Agreed it will be expensive, but if its a temporary measure to save peoples lives, why not.

Besides the only cost is the cost of fuel. The pilots and security personnel 7are paid for already since they are air force staff and receive salary.

Also the train is only twice a day for about 2 hours not so? Also the same chopper in the air can provide cover to the Kaduna Abuja and Abuja Kaduna at the same time since they depart at both ends at around the same time and are continually getting closer to each other till the midway point, meaning the response time is short to the other train.

However weaponize drones may be a cheaper, easier solution going forward as the operational cost may be less.

What simple technology can solve but this abokis will rather keep misbehaving.
if bandit should shoot down the chopper now and same still crash on the train! What they need is Stealth Armed Drone and aerial surveillance alongside the trains route. Chopper is expensive.

Newton2024:
This sounds idealistic but not realistic in Nigeria. It is either bandits shoot down the helicopter or the helicopter mistakenly bombs the train. Incompetence rules supreme here.

Hahahaha.. grin grin grin grin
Thats my point exactly!

Ok but...

Light weight drone surge can keep these guys on check...even if it is just a grenade each they are modified to possess...

Imaging having like ten thousand mediadrones-like modified to bear arms flying over you as bandits or Boko Haram whatever you are...you will immediately be depressed...

If youths are allowed to take care of this country God can help us do something...

We shall get there!
