Following the heightened security situation in the country, President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday lamented that some individuals were frustrating his government efforts.

Buhari, in a 1-minute video posted on his verified Facebook page, lamented over the incessant attacks of bandits in the country, especially in the North Western part of Nigeria.

“Those terrorists are destroying their communities. This situation is frustrating government efforts to tackle this problem,” he said.

President Buhari called on traditional, religious leaders and other key stakeholders to “reactivate long-existing method of gathering information about social movements in their communities” in order to salvage the situation.
