Yeah, supposedly. But the Nigerian constitution doesn't recognize anyone as a King as Nigerian is a Republic. Unlike Japanese constitution that recognizes the Emperor as a symbol Head of Japan

He is not the Vice-Chancellor. Read that letter again. The Chancellor position is ceremonial. The Vice-Chancellor is the one in charge of running the affairs of the school.

I get your point tho. We have had some Oyos in the past.

Oyo Atiba

Each Oyo signifies a dynasty, just like Ming, Qing and all that in china.

The central argument, however, is that a particular bloodline is maintained regardless, in the case of Oyo. So the Alaafin descended from the Emperors of Old Oyo that conquered and amassed an Empire all the way to Ghana, Benin Republic and Togo.

So sorry Sir, while you may be right on part of this statement but no one refers to H.M The Queen Elizabeth Regina as the head of former Commonwealth countries that are now republics.

And her title as "Queen" isn't ceremonial. Her position as Head of State may be. But many people do not know the extensive powers she wields in her kingdoms such as England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Canada, Australia, Jamaica, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Belize et al. Though she can't use these powers cause they cause rifts here and there.

Sir Japan still remains an Empire ooo and may be so until Jesus comes.

The Japanese Empire was never dissolved. She was demilitarized and her "growing wings" clipped by powers that be.

Japan still remains an Empire with many still seeing the Emperor as the "son of heaven".
