See rubbish you guys are turning nairaland to. I am a Yoruba man born and raised in Lagos, all my life have been dealing with igbos without any regret today. Without igbos in Lagos I guess we all know the rest. Igboamaka. I'm sure this man never travel outside the west before. Pks change your perspective about igbos they are good people.

Just look at what this lunatic of a foolish Igbo as to say. If the mod should look at ethnic profiling you think this nonsense you typed as comment will stand.

Igbos are contributing paying task in Lagos but you hopeless lot do not seem it fit to glorify n worship those that created the atmosphere for you to succeed.

Your entire household as to be mad for the effrontery to demand anything for your hopeless trube that insults everybody. Just imagine this fool. You don't engage in ethnic slur but you are here claiming they hate igbos but you have not seen Igbo hate on Awolowo MKO Tinubu Osibanjo Fashola Aregbe Lai.

You de ment.

Onyeziokwu:

This is a very stupid one from you mate!

I suggest the Mods to start looking into this ethnic profiling here on Nairaland. It's gradually becoming a norm thus, one of the ways the politicians have succeeded in dividing us amongst ourselves.

West, West... Lagos to be precise, Igbos are still contributing heavily in her development via revenue generated from their businesses scattered all over the State by the government.

Keep hating on Igbos whilst they continue progressing.

Funny enough, we're most marginalized in Nigeria but the most successful in everything, still. Our God is great.

Tbh, I don't engage in this ethnic fight but it's becoming unbearable here.

As an Igbo born and breed in Lagos, I identify with literally everyone as one Nigeria.

Make we talk true sha. The new Lagos state payment system, Cowri, for commuting (BRT, water, and now railway) initiated by Ambode/Sanwo Olu is a game changer. Simply recharge your card at any ticketing booth with any amount, visit any BRT or rail station, scan your card, and commute from one end to another.

Soon, "owo mi da" and "driver e fun mi ni change" "(driver give me my change)" will be a thing of the past. Yellow buses must be completely scrapped but the process needs to be logical and systematic to avoid unexpected consequences. With more BRTs and rail projects, traditional parks will naturally attract fewer people, fewer buses and agberos. That's how to end a trend logically.

The way that Fashola painted the state blue with massive looting instead of delivering the light rail as he promised? Same a-looter story with ThiefNuibu who talked about the light rail in his 2000 video?
How will the city/state develop if we have such terribly low expectation of the thieves we allow into public office?

WHO SAYS 4 YEARS IN OFFICE IS NOT ENOUGH FOR MEANINGFUL ACHIEVEMENTS?

IT'S A FACT THAT 90% OF GOVERNORS IN NIGERIA SINCE 1999 WITH REVENUES AT THEIR DISPOSAL CANNOT BOAST OF A QUARTER OF THESE ACHIEVEMENTS EVEN WITHIN THEIR EIGHT YEARS IN OFFICE.

For a state as rich as Lagos its embarrassing that this project has taken this long considering how important it is in easing traffic gridlock which has become the logo of Lagos almost 2 decades now and it is still under construction. it should have been given priority and long completed. Judging by the pace of work on this project 4th mainland bridge will take 30 yrs if it ever kicks off.

For the crumb-eaters of ThiefNuibu's bullion vans loot, such logic eludes them.

Lagos just keep proving it is the economic capital. Imagine if other states can also buckle their belts and there was no corruption in Nigeria. Imagine what we will do collectively.

You should travel around Lagos and note the private sector's contribution to the showcase places while the inner city rots away without schools, no water, no feeder roads, primary healthcare etc, as the governors steal like crazy.

itubaba001:
Lagos, the commercial hub of Nigeria, has been ranking as one of the worst places to live in the world for the nine straight years, a BusinessDay analysis shows.

Data from the 2019 Global Liveability Index published by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), the world’s leader in global business intelligence, shows the city has been within the range of 137th-139th position out of a total of 140 cities in the world from year 2011-2019.

Last year, Nigeria overtook India as the country with the largest number of people living in extreme poverty, thereby becoming the world capital of poverty, according to the Brookings Institute. This year, the number has risen to 91.6 million from 87 million in June 2018. Every minute, six Nigerians enter the group of extremely poor people, according to the World Poverty Clock.

Lagos State leads, others follow!

This is another testament of the solid foundation laid by the Asiwaju himself.

It is another reason why BAT should be given the opportunity to spread development to all nooks and crannies of Nigeria.

Tinubu: a man with developmental foresight.

Let not sentiments, bias and hatred deprive Nigeria and Nigerians of this golden opportunity

Wonderful!

Three months don reach finish sha.

It's the first phase that terminates at Mile 2, maybe when this one is finished they will start the rail tracks from mile 2 - okoko. I believe the mile 2 - okoko will help Lagosians more. At least the 10lane road is terminating at okoko for now.

We have been on this Badagry road matter since2008- 2009, it is well.

Really headache, they have even blocked the middle lane from okoko down to Iyana Iba all motorists have to pass through the service lane when going towards okoko- Iyana Iba, before some of us shunt at iyanaera - Ilogbo - Ajangbadi to okoko but now they are constructing that bridge at abule so everybody coming from agbara has to come straight except you want to pass Alaba international which seems like a war zone of traffic during working hours.

If going to the igando route I just shunt at Iyana ishashi and come out at Iba, they have blocked the turning at igboelerin. I don't have the strength for that one way traffic to igboelerin junction.

Even when coming back to agbara side, there's always traffic between afro and church because of those passing one way to link igboelerin.

Point is going towards Iyana Iba straight now is a big headache, till they finish that bridge and link the fast lane and now the rains have started....
