Its not easy to isolate a country like the Russia Federation, which is a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, Russia is not like North Korea, or Iran, Russia wields a big stick, Russia holds veto power, and also remember not every country is unfriendly with Russia, there are countries within the NATO alliance that are friendly with Russia. There are also Countries in Africa that are bitter about the West all these factors will prevent Russia from being isolated.

Winter will soon be coming again ... no problem since alternative supplies will fill the gap. The war is intensifying ... nothing is guaranteed ... why are they sure Russia wouldn't blow up the pipelines?
The West is not looking for a peaceful solution but see this as an opportunity to confront and force Russia into submission. The masses in Ukraine and soon those in Poland will be the ones suffering thanks to their leaders.

For now, there are no alternatives expect Algeria and azebijan and they don't have the infrastructure.

Poland will have minimal effect, if Russia cuts gas supply.
As reserve will be used, in as much summer is near with lower gas demand.
In recent times, Poland has been making other plans to reduce the dependence on Russia gas.
Norway and Lithuania to the rescue as alternatives.

If EU can’t get cheap gas and oil then they will lose the remaining competition to China, India and South Korea companies.
Germany, Holland, Ireland, Italy and France are the biggest donators to EU fund, Poland need cheap gas for her industries.

I have noticed most EU countries are ready to cut Russian oil. Their politicians and media have been planting alarming stories just to psy ops Russia. There at least two months supply of energy storage bought at discount from Russia while alternatives were been sourced from opening mothballed coal and nuclear power plants to better inter country selling of electricity.

Meanwhile, summer is coming in two months.

It's April. Winter isn't coming soon. And Poland has long planned to switch away from Russian gas by end year.

Blaming the west for not looking for a peaceful solution is the same as blaming Nigerians for not surrendering to Boko Haram so we have 'peace'.

Are you an oil and gas expert? You need gas pipelines to be built before supplies can take place. NORWAY gas is different and liquidiftied.

After two months of fighting, Russia is in control of less than 15% of additional territory, has lost a staggering number of troops and equipment and is largely stalemated

Meanwhile Ukrainian soldiers morale is high, and they're getting a lot of weapons and equipment by the day.

But Gazprom supplies more than half of all Poland's gas imports. That's a big hole to fill.

And Poland is not the only EU country now seeking to stop buying Russian energy.

There's a lot of competition on an already tight gas supply market. When the heating season starts again in the autumn and demand rises, Poland could face a tricky few months securing enough supply.

And if it does so, it may have to restrict supplies to large industrial users.

Russia go loose clients but their people go protest hike in the price of gas due to shortage and lack of gas to generate heat in their homes, India, China and even other EU countries are ready buyers for Russia cheap gas and they're willing to pay in Rubles and thus give strength to the sanction weaken Russia Rubles.
