Hmm. . . . U didnt have to tell me its a stupid question,dont u think i knw already. Do u knw how long it took me to type that,anyways a guy told me one can connect 4 PCs to a HDD by network making a sub-server out of the four. Haters please stay clear cos am here to learn. . . .thanks |

@Topic If you are talking about installing and running more than one OS on separate computers from on HDD, It is not possible at all! |

So, which PC has control over the devices? You can replicate ports, but all the PC would basically be showing thesame thing. It is not possible to achieve that and expect each PC to behave as though it was independent. For instance, take Windows. When you install it on a PC, it takes certain info about the board onto which it is running and creates a unique ID (UID). This is written on the HDD. Change this and the OS wont run. Make significant changes to your system, the UID changes and request a re-activation. Now, of the 4 PCs, whose UID would be on the disk Who controls the boot sector? My guy, it ain't possible |
