1. People like to latch on to this quote; "I will continue to show openly and inside me the total commitment to the Sharia movement that is sweeping all over Nigeria," Buhari said, quoted in press reports. God willing, we will not stop the agitation for the total implementation of the Sharia in the country," Using it to insinuate that Mr. President is sponsoring boko haram and islamic jihad. Lets be realistic, every true christian will wish for christianity to rule nigeria and for all muslims to convert to christianity. In essense, any christian can say exactly what buhari said but in a christian context. This begs the question of what then is sharia? Its moral guidiance for orderliness in society. They brainwashed you to think that sharia means a bunch of rag tag jihadists running around stoning people to death. In those days, capital punishment served as a deterent from commiting crimes. But in modern times, you dont need to chop off body parts, if a person commits theft you can be sentenced to lifelong community, industrial service without pay. Those who insist on chopping heads and stoning a sunni wahabist, they follow a false teaching. I personally want sharia across africa not just nigeria. 2. People say Buhari has destroyed Nigeria, they cite the following points; a. Banditry: these are foreign mecenaries deployed to sabotage the government. b. Inflation: covid19 caused global inflation. c. Kidnapping: Chibok girls werent kidnapped under buhari regime. Again, it was the work of foreign mercenaries deployed to give the past government a bad name, i only blame president Buhari for riding the wave because of his presidential ambition then...etc d. Corruption: there is no evidence showing that the president has been involved in any corrupt practice or deal. His ministers can be corrupt but not him. Dasuki was covicted for corruption but Jonathan walked free. e. WAEC certificate: how can a president that studied in i. Mons officers cadet school, United kingdom ii. U.S army war college iii Nigeria millitary training school To be admited into these institutions you should have waec cert. Or equivalent and anyone who has graduated from all the institutions above is qualified to be President it is good that Mr. President paid no attention to the busy bodies. 3. Finally Nigerians should be thankful because while Americans are paying N1000/L for petrol, Ghanaians are paying N600/L, the giant of Africa is paying a meagre N165/L. Those who say no to sharia also say no to same sex marriage. Did you know that it was foreign interests behind the kaduna train attacks just to sabotage Mr. President's drive at industrialization? I am a child of Socialism. I advise we go back to socialism but this time technology should be infused. Techno-Socialism, contemporary capitalism has failed. Techno-capitalism will wipe out 75% of world's population because there will be no room for the poor, robots will take your jobs.... so Techno- socialism is the way forward. |

Chichigi1990: Grammatical errors: 1 .To be admited into these institutions you should have waec certificate Or equivalent and anyone who has studied and graduated from any and all the institutions above is qualified to be President. It is good that Mr. President paid no attention to the busy bodies who were demanding waec certificate. 2. In those days, capital punishment served as a deterent from commiting crimes. But in modern times, you dont need to chop off body parts, if a person commits theft he/she can be sentenced to lifelong community, industrial service without pay. Those who insist on chopping heads and stoning are sunni wahabist, they follow a false, misinterpretation of the holy scriptures. I personally want sharia across africa not just nigeria 3. Those who say no to sharia also say no to same sex marriage. This is hypocrisy and self righteousness of the highest order. |

Chichigi1990: 1. Did you know that it was foreign interests behind the kaduna train attacks just to sabotage Mr. President's drive at industrialization? . How did you come to this conclusion? Do you have any evidence to this claim or it is the usual conjectures? |

Chichigi1990: Nigeria is not industralised because we are an import dependent nation.... 1.Most people aren't interested in making things, they would rather import the things, and sell them. Plus manufacturing is expensive in Nigeria for several reasons. 2.Power supply is poor in Nigeria because Nigerians think that we should 'keep electric power cheap to help the poor' . The result....the sector has no money to make the much needed improvements to provide power for the nation at a high rate. 3.Nigerians since independence have this idea that by selling cash crops and minerals we can make enough money for sharing among all of us...which is what is really driving the restructuring and secession movements...the idea that if Nigeria restructures, every part will 'go back to agriculture' and produce enough to sell aborad for money. The problem with that idea is a) We do not control the price of our raw materials. b) As a result, the amount of money we earn from selling the raw materials is very very very low for a nation our size. Even crude oil....what we earn from crude can sustain a nation of less than 5 million people...not 200 million people, or even the 40 million -60 million that Biafra would contain assuming Biafra gets all the oil and suchwith. For now what we need to do is to remove subsides on electricity and petrol, so that we can pay the actual price on these things, which while it means expensive petrol and power bills short term, long term, it means we have the electricity and power to power any industrial growth...meaning more jobs and investment, and better security. But Nigerians don't want that. We want to all eat oil money and import with it. Oil money that, need I remind us, is not enough |

subsidywise18: What is stopping both past and present governments from creating manufacturing industries, refineries? Its not difficult, allocate the funds and get it done, so whats stopping them? Dont say selfish interests and corruption because you would be wrong. With the right incentives, people will gear their resources towards export and manufacturing. This is 21st century, hardly anyone wants to share national cake, people want to work and earn a living but there is no enabling environment. Why did we have steady power supply during the millitary era but eratic power supply now? Dont say corruption! We can control the price of raw materials if our products are unique. Like when we had almost 100% monopoly on palm oil before we lost it, things like that is what strenghtens your currency. Like now, since we have large gas reserves we can opt out of opec and sell independently in naira like russia is doing, Opec quota is ripping. Removing subsidies will only make people poorer, it will lead to inflation and to balance inflation you need a corresponding increasing in wages. This is where we need techno-socialism. Or else if you remove subsidies without increasing wages, you are inviting chaos upon the nation like what you see goin on around the world with protests here and there. |

Chichigi1990: At the end of the day the 'factories and enabling environment and subsidy' has to be paid from crude oil revenue which need I remind you cannot sustain a nation of ten million talkless of twenty million |

Chichigi1990: Face reality that we are a poor nation and that we cannot make money from selling raw materials and that there is nothing like cheap electric power. And we'll take it from there |
