1.Most people aren't interested in making things, they would rather import the things, and sell them. Plus manufacturing is expensive in Nigeria for several reasons.

2.Power supply is poor in Nigeria because Nigerians think that we should 'keep electric power cheap to help the poor' . The result....the sector has no money to make the much needed improvements to provide power for the nation at a high rate.

3.Nigerians since independence have this idea that by selling cash crops and minerals we can make enough money for sharing among all of us...which is what is really driving the restructuring and secession movements...the idea that if Nigeria restructures, every part will 'go back to agriculture' and produce enough to sell aborad for money. a) We do not control the price of our raw materials.

b) As a result, the amount of money we earn from selling the raw materials is very very very low for a nation our size.
