why are education ministers Adamu and nwajiuba fighting for FG instead of ASUU, Concerned Nigerians Ponder

According to Information gathered from many social media pages and handles by myschoolnews.ng, many concerned Nigerians are wondering why the Ministers of Education are fighting for the Federal Government instead of getting their duties done as Ministers for the people.

According to Nigerians, the Ministers' of Education first priority is to make sure the Educational sector of the country runs smoothly. Having the interest of the students and staff in all levels of study at heart.

But instead, anytime there is a disagreement between the Federal Government and Educational Institutions, these Ministers seem to blame one Academic Union or the other for their actions.

We can take the case of the Federal Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu saying a few days into ASUU's one-month warning strike in February 2022 that the Federal Government is not to be blamed for ASUU's strike, adding that they were already making arrangements for settlement and suddenly heard that the Union had gone strike.

Moreover, it could be recalled that in 2020, the Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba as at when ASUU embarked on a 7months strike, had told members of the union to consider resigning from their lecturing jobs instead of striking and take up farming as a profession.

Whereas, these people although employed by the FG, were employed because of the people; i.e in order to give quality education to every student in the country.

Hence, if we say we are really practicing democracy, then we should be the priority of the Government as well as the Education Ministry in the nation.

There should be a genuine display of the service they have been called into, the Education Ministry should see to the betterment of our School Systems, Staff and students.
