“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.

Jesus was talking to his Jewish people telling them that everything written about him by those prophets in the laws which they're very well familiar with will be fulfilled he wasn't talking to an African whose ancestors never entered into a covenant with the God of Abraham through the law.
So the Jews needed those laws to help them recognize and cooperate with the Christ otherwise the promises God made with their father Abraham {Genesis 12:1-3} will be transferred to people of other nations if those ones should put faith in the Christ before them! Matthew 3:7-12 compare to 21:43; 23:37-38
This people have the privilege of becoming co-rulers with the Christ as they pioneer his messages throughout the earth for the salvation of mankind {Zechariah 8:23} had it been they acted on the things written in those laws they wouldn't have rejected Jesus Christ.
So it's half-baked knowledge that's worrying you, CHRISTIANS have no need of those laws after knowing the perfect model God gave mankind all we need to do is strive to imitate his thoughts, words and actions! 1Corinthians 2:16
God promised us everlasting life that he never promised any of those prophets of old {Matthew 17:5} because the laws can't give them everlasting life it's only through Jesus' teachings that we can make this planet a PARADISE not through the law!

so you either stand by Jesus words or you dont, but dont be a selfish hypocrite to take only what fits your agenda from your holybook!

The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob actually entered into a covenant with the nation of Israel and the laws is what binds Him to them, as long as they keep those laws He will continue to protect them until the Messiah (Christ) who will teach them how to gain everlasting life comes. Read John 4:25

So if you're quoting what happened in the Old Testament and claiming you're knowledgeable about Christianity then it shows how low your knowledge about what you're claiming.
CHRISTIANITY is like a perfect and fresh start to make the world a better place but Mosaic laws is what helped Jesus' disciples to recognize him as the one who will teach them what they supposed to know about eternal life!
