Let me give you some good pointers.

After the independence day bombing, GEJ dashed out of the gates and passed blame elsewhere, he excused MEND before any investigation or findings.

Just imagine the leader of a country making such amateurish and unbecoming pronouncements while innocent Nigerians are still lying on the ground bloodied and dead.

Jos burned for over a year and GEJ didn't lift a finger, it's like Jos was not part of Nigeria

With so much violence going on all over the country, GEJ either looked the other way or set up another worthless panel of inquiry.

Panel of inquiry is GEJ's response and solution to every problem, he has so much panels that some are even duplicate panels with no results or any effect on the problems facing the country,

My Observation;

Anytime the issue of performance is addressed in Nigeria, Nigerians has the very terrible habit of tribalising the issue.

Example: When obasanjo accussed Atiku of stealing PTDF money, Atiku never denied it. His defence: Obasanjo is also  a thief!

When Bankole was accused of misappopriation, he has not denied it. His defence: EFCC cant prosecute him unless AGF authorise it!
And some "yoruba elders" said Bankole is being victimized because he is yoruba man!

When are Nigerians going to wake up from this dumb conundrum!

Concerning Fashola and GEJ, while Fashola  is busy palliating the people, Even Arewa and Sultan and NSCIA have advocated the use of force to suppress Boko Haram. Why is Jonathan still setting up panel round the place?

Is he not the C-in-C?  Remember Fashola does not even has power over the commisioner of police!

Conclusion: IMO, I give it to Fashola.

This is a good thread and should be encouraged. The essence is to make our current leaders to see how they are percieved. It not meant to sum up anybody achievement but a sort yardstick for leadership assessment.

It makes little sense comparing both personalities.

Fashola is presiding over 18million Nigerians residing in a single state within Nigeria whilst

GEJ is presiding over 140million Nigerians spread across 36 states plus FCT

This has nothing to do with what you have, it's about what you are doing with what you have.

We saw what GEJ did when he was managing Bayelsa with a population of just 1.7 million, he did nothing.

Abeg stop with the flawed BS.

Fashola has this natural sympathy for people-imagine celeberating your birthday with Orphans and not in beer parlor with bottles and whores,

his urgent response to addressing the flooding situation is also very commendablle,

We should consider history in the chosing of the presidency, a passive individual will only dig more pits rather than closing the existing one's,

lets continue praying, brothers,

Op, who do u expect a Yoruba man to vote?
@post, remember that governance is a complicated thing, especially, when many factors are fighting against u. It's never a one man's thing, that's why we have to help the head in steering the ship. We're all here when everybody were shouting on the top of their voices for deployment of troops in the northern areas, but, today the same people have volte faced. So, in times of challenges (that were not created by government), we channels our sagacity towards helping the leader ideas, cos nobody is infallible. To the best of my knowledge, all this things are rising, cos of some egocentric desires of some who wants gej to fail. But, gej as a human leader being is trying to carry everyone along, inorder, to eschew creating more problems and enemies for himself. Lagos is a state of Yorubas and in no way will Yorubas create disaster for their son, but, nigeria is a country of many incoherent tribes, that's why some parts are creating human disasters to destabilize the polity. Our parents should take the blame for this societal menace, cos of improper training they gave to their children.

Lagos is a state of Yorubas

For real?u must be kidding me,i thought it was popular notion that lagos was a no man's land and the so called yorubas living there are being dominated by Igbos, even in terms of population!why the sudden turnaround

and in no way will Yorubas create disaster for their son,

i guess bode george, dosunmu and Co are hausas then

but, nigeria is a country of many incoherent tribes, that's why some parts are creating human disasters to destabilize the polity.

So all the people in Lagos are of one ethnicitywow,am just hearing that

Our parents should take the blame for this societal menace, cos of improper training they gave to their children.

those politicians should stop building houses at the beach, nobody can stop water.Imagine go to Lekki, alpha and some other areas go and see how they are sand filling oceans we are causing some of this problems by ourself.
Re: Fashola Vs Gej In Disaster Response by deb(m): 7:18pm On Jul 17, 2011
There is no need to introduce tribalism into dis thread. Between Fashola and GEJ who do you prefer his response to natural disaster? It is so simple! And has nothing to do with tribalism. All you tribalists should get a live for once!

Fahola is enlightened, though in the midst of so many "typical nigerian" who makes progress tough and confusing.

Jonathan is a "typical nigerian",a lesser epitome of nigerian factor. who took the mantle and still taking order and directives from the kingpin himself, obj
