This is the first part of a multi-thread series that’ll teach even virgin travelers to master making step by step travel arrangements (flight, hotel, car) abroad or in Nigeria using free services. Here is what each part will teach even a beginning to do, step by step:

Part 1 Search for and Reserve the cheapest round-trip or one way flights abroad and domestically.
Part 2 Search for and Reserve long term accommodations abroad with immediate and delayed payments options.
Part 3 How to find affordable short term accommodations Abroad or in Nigeria.
Part 4 How to pre- arrange car rental or ride-shares abroad.

Part 1: Steps to Search for and Reserve the cheapest round-trip or one way flights abroad and domestically.

Step 1 Download the Travelocity App or go to www.Travelocity.com then select FLIGHT. At the top, choose Roundtrip or One Way then your place of departure/your destination, the day you want to leave and return, the number of travelers, and your desired plane class. Click SEARCH.
Tips:
*If you’re flexible and want to compare prices between departure cities in your country, type in your city.
*If you’re restricted to using a certain airport, type the airport in.
*For 1 way tickets, enter day of departure only.

Step 2 All choices will appear. Filter and sort the results according to your needs. Examples are from lowest price to highest, number and location of any layovers, airline, etc. Study the choices well before choosing one. If you’re seeking one way, skip
step 3 and go to Step 4. For round trip, continue on to step 3.
*The picture example uses a search from Lagos to Houston leaving May 30 and returning June 30 for 1 person in economy class which rendered 48 choices. We sorted the results from the lowest price to the highest and chose the second cheapest price which is on Lufthansa has one 3 hour 35 minute stop in Frankfurt, Germany. The round trip price is $1617 usd.

Step 3 Study the returning flight choices, choose one, then click CONTINUE.

*Our chosen return flight in the example leaves Houston for Lagos on United Airlines with a 4 hour 14 minute stop in New York, NY and a 47 minute stop in Washington, DC.

Step 4 [/] Carefully review all info provided on the confirmation page. If you need to go back, select CHANGE FLIGHT. If things are satisfactory, click CHECK OUT. On the checkout page, review the flight confirmation. SAVE or PRINT the confirmation before filling in all of your info then select/reject travel insurance then fill in your payment information.
*Our example flight offers free flight changes and the amount/weight of baggage included in the price.
[b] Step 5
SAVE/PRINT the final confirmation page that’ll include your complete itinerary and contact details for the airline.
[b]Step 6[/] Practice the first 3 steps using different departure and arrival locations and range of dates until you’re a pro.

I’ll kindly answer any questions about these steps.

@1stGenAmerican,
This is a detailed, step-by-step post you have here. I first read it 2 days ago and thought to give you an honest feedback. smiley

Travelocity is cool if you know how to navigate your way, and your pictorial post makes it quite easy to do. For those planning for some holiday travels, this would come in handy.

Questions:
1. I'm curious to know what unique insights the remaining 3 parts of the article series would uncover.
Mention me when you post each part of the thread series.

2. I personally use Google Flights and Kayak to plan all my leisure and business travels though.

So, have you ever used Google Flights in addition Travelocity?

3. I also want you to do short 4 to 5-minutes YouTube videos on these topics down the road since most folks learn faster through audio-visuals.

Happy Trips, and Take Care.wink

P.S. Are you a resident of TX? I ask because you referenced Houston-Lagos in the Travelocity screenshots.
