The debt is as a result of selling the folllowing things...cocoa, cotton, palm oil , crude oil, aluminum, tin, columbite, cotton, etc etc...which all have one thing in common....their prices are not set in Nigeria.

So, when the price of all those things fall, plus population grows on top of the matter.....we experience a shortfall of money, and have to take loans to keep up. Naturally, the loans have to be paid with interest.

One reason why I say that PDP and APC and the Army governments are all alike is simple. No one has developed a policy that would take us from being an exporter of raw materials into processing those raw materials into goods and services that can be used by the world, and can earn us much more money than just exporting raw materials.

We got to wake up to that fact, otherwise, we will continue taking loans and more loans.
