Meaning of MEPS

MEPS is an abbreviation for Multilanguage Phototypesetting System.

It's a Computer System that Jehovah's witnesses themselves developed for getting written materials published quickly in many languages.

They developed MEPS because nowhere in the world was such a available for publishing in many languages in which they print their Bible literatures.

Their sole objective in printing Bible literature is to help people of all Nations and languages to learn about God and his kingdom.

So MEPS is a Multilanguage system. It's uniqueness is in it ability to handle many different languages.

There's essentially no limit of languages that MEPS can be programmed to produce.

MEPS is indeed making publishing in many languages easier.

Moreover it's unique in that it wasn't developed for commercial purpose.
