This table you are shaking will break o

Yoruba know their history there no way a rewrite strong from SE would hold water.

The disposition of Igbo during and after 1993 election is well documented and noted by every Yoruba man. Untill they admit their mistakes and turn a new leaf, they would always receive payback
Lol.. u dey talk as if no be all of us no dey suffer am. If u like make una make the mistake of voting a Buhari pro max next year, na still all of us go suffer am

In this season when people are talking betrayal and Southern unity.
The Yoruba know their friends

To be honest, this is not the time to open old wound. We should put all our efforts towards building unity and consensus in the south instead of talking about the past.

1993 is gone, let’s face 2023. In the overall interest of the country, we must not allow Atiku take over from Buhari. The country won’t survive another 8 years under Northern Fulani rule.

Guy there is no south and there never has been . Can you go to sleep with a snake in your house.
The Igbos have always taken a different political path.
1960 Zik went into coalition with Balewa against Awolowo. Shortly afterwards they jailed him. Next they proceeded to break the Western Region into Midwestern Region and Western. That is not necessarily a bad thing but was done for selfish reasons whilst at the same time suppressing similar agitations in Akwa/Cross , Ijaw/Niger Delta and the Middle Belt.
Again 1965 Zik went into coalition with Balewa
For the time that Zik and Balewa were in power how did they treat the West.

1979 Again Zik went into coalition with Shagari
1983 Zik went into coalition with Shagari
Both times Rivers state as it was then(including Bayelsa) voted Shagari
1993 again Rivers state(Ijaw) and the SE did not vote Abiola
Why is this history lesson necessary.?

When all of this was happening the Yoruba never for one day talked about South or called anyone betrayer or spewed hatred toward anyone.
Rather we respected and recognized their rights to act based on self interest on the basis that if you do not support us today maybe you can support tomorrow. We did not seek enmity or issue threats or adopt the attitude that if we cannot have our way now let everything spoil for ever.
So in 2011 We voted Goodluck Jonathan even though Ijaws did not vote for Abiola or Awolowo ever We did not see them as eternal enemies.
So as far as south goes we can collaborate if there is common ground.

Having studied the Ibos I do not believe we can have common ground . This issue goes back to 1960. We can trade blames for ever it will change nothing. We cannot work with a people who would rather burn down the house than see us do well.
Many Ibos blame Yoruba for their civil war plight and hope one day to even scores. As such it is not possible to engage them on a rational basis. They would rather burn down everything than see the Yoruba advance in a way that threatens their fragile egos.
Today they are pushing this absurd narrative that they cannot get the presidency because Yorubas won't step down for them and so they seek to "punish" the Yoruba.

Are those rational people?
The reality on ground today is from the South no Ibo candidate can win the presidency. Everyone knows this .Rather than strategize the Eboes resort to the same infantile methods because they have decided, A LONG TIME AGO, on eternal enmity with Yoruba.

Without History we will lose perspective and keep going round in circles

If you do not know what to expect from Ibos if they are in power STUDY THIS

We try again
We continue to use persuasion and good conduct not threats .It is not a do or die affair. We will continue working and reaching out knowing that we will have to work extra hard and expect no favors from Ibos.
Any Yoruba person serious about presidency must realize they will not get Ibos support ever and put that in their calculus.
Yoruba are capable of mutually respectful relationships with all Nigerians even with Ibos albeit outside of politics.
Yorubas collaborate with Ibos in Business, Marriage ,church and even criminal activity and there is not much history of violence between the two. During the Civil war some Yorubas collected rent for their Ibo friends and handed over at the end of the war. So we do not see them as enemies but they see us so. We have tried for a long time but they remain fixed in that Civil war bitterness mode. So we have to move on and accept that politically we are parallel lines.

You cannot teach any lesson
What lesson are you teaching that you did not teach in 1993?
Why all these impotent announcements?
In the past when you were voting for Fulanis did you make announcement?
Carry on as usual. Do more doing and stop talking and threatening.
Your votes are demonstrably irrelevant as the map shows.
5% nonsense..

You nailed it! But the Igbos didn't start this madness in 1960. It dated way back to the 1950s. They've always seen Yorubas as obstacles to their quest for domination.

The same Abiola that said he can become president without Ndigbo? You expect Igbo to vote massively? Well, let me tell you. Abiola got lots of Igbo votes, but from Igbos that never understood that he was anti Igbo. Even my mom cried when the north dealt with him, but that was an error. No person who says they can do without Igbo (like Tinubu is doing now) will become president. We are done with divisive leaders. That's why we are for leaders that love all Nigerians.
