Ndume: Buhari Has Every Right To Pick His Successor, Infact It's Democratic by osinbanjoisaliar: 2:41pm On Jun 02, 2022
The former Senate Minority leader and the Director- General of Rotimi Amaechi Presidential Campaign Organisation, Senator Ali Ndume, APC, Borno South has thrown his weight behind President Buhari on the comment, saying it is democratic.

Speaking with Vanguard, Senator Ndume who noted that there was nothing wrong in Buhari wanting to pick his successor, said that there is no President that will not name his successor or be interested in who succeeds him after office.

Ndume who said that former President of the United States of America, USA, Barack Obama picked interest in his Vice, Joe Biden to succeed him and he worked very hard to support Biden, said that there was nothing wrong with the position of President Buhari on the issue.

“The call by President Buhari that he should be allowed to pick his successor is not out of place, it is democratic and he was democratic about it.

There is no President that will not name his successor. I would have been disappointed if the President had left the issue open without being interested in who should succeed him.

As he said, the Governors were allowed to name their successors, the President should be allowed to do same. There is nothing out of place for the President to do that.”

A.P.C are in a state of confusion right now because of Atiku & Kwankwaso.
Right now they are wondering where to get northern votes from because they already know Tinubu or any Yoruba man can't guarantee victory for them.
Tinubu is only popular in the West, & no South-East or South-South person can ever vote for Tinubu.
And the north would rather vote for their brothers Atiku or Kwankwaso to be president, than to vote a Yoruba man.
The only option right now for A.P.C to get their desired northern votes is to pick a consensus candidate from the north, & then zone the V.P to the south.
Unfortunately the only position Tinubu can dream of getting based on Analysis is being the V.P.

Unfortunately for educated illiterates like Ndume, Nigeria is practicing a multi-party democracy. Buhari's influence starts and end in his party. He can only pick and name who he wishes to fly the party's flag in the coming election, but picking/electing a successor to take over from him is solely in the hands of voting populace

What he is trying to say is that Bola Tinubu is not the anointed candidate of Pres. Buhari. I pity jagaban because what happen to Awolowo 1979 and MKO Abiola 1993, will also repeat itself again.

Tinubu's defeat will be televised on national TV.
You dont want an incumbent to pick his successor
yet, since the last democratic dispensation, you have never failed to choose the governor of Lagos.
grin

Afonja, Awolowo, Abiola..............Asiwaju. The pattern is always there but they still think they are the most
sophisticated tribe

It is only on nairaland that anybody who doesn't support Tinubu is "Ipig", "mkpurumiri addict" grin then you go to Facebook you see whole lot of people even including South West people that don't support Tinubu ,then you enter Instagram the same thing. You then check Twitter he is seen as an outright bad market by Ijaw ,Hausa,Igbo Yoruba especially the youths. But if you come to nairaland and don't support Tinubu you're an "mkpurumiri addict" grin what is happening?? Is this part of the Propaganda of the Tinubu boys based on nairaland being faceless? They're doing him a very disservice by making it seem like the ONLY people that don't like Tinubu is from across the Niger river because offline Tinubu has fierce resistance in his own Region South West. And too Considering that Yemi Osibanjo is more popular and Loved by the South than Tinubu why don't Tinubu and his people compromise and Support Yemi Osibanjo ?or atleast be smart enough to have the type of advantage Yemi has which is stronger Southern SupportAll this fake nairaland Propaganda will be checkmated offline ooo Because the "North" Tinubu is banking on their Support have their votes now currently heavily Divided by Kwankwansio and Atiku. Stop giving the Impression that two blocks of the Southern region are against Tinubu because that assertion will backfire on Tinubu. Because in Nigerian Politics you must first SECURE your Base. Right now Tinubu base in SW is not even SECURE so before you make it look like 2 blocs of the South (SE/SS)are no go area for Tinubu. Think about the long chain of effects it will have on Tinubu campaign. The Yemi Osibanjo boys are smarter using "Christianity" as cover as also not making Attacks on the SE or SS and it is working because down here no strong bad blood for Yemi if he campaign well he'll get Heavy votes from South East, South South then add his own South West Supporters ,he can now go and hustle up North.Even as we're Talking now Peter Obi campaign is gradually having strong influence in the South West among the Youths ,while Osibanjo is gradually having and Influence in the SE and SS. Tinubu boys are busy making enemies in the South while banking on Northern votes that has already been split. Make Una use your head ooo.My two cents grin

Ode, shey joe Biden no go through primaries?
Hilary didn’t??
Obama didn’t??
Trump didn’t?

Even buhari himself went through primaries, what we see here is a president that’s afraid of losing party control to a man that’s way more intelligent than him. If e sure for buhari, he should test his popularity at the primary and see why he lost 4 consecutive times until he met city boy. I don’t really care if Tinubu gets the ticket, I am just interested in ACN faction producing the presidential candidate because APC is a marriage between CPC and ACN. Buhari is a product of CPC, it’s time for ACN and I wouldn’t mind TINUBU or Osibanjo. South east has been with PDP since 1999, APC doesn’t owe them shit, let them solve their own problem with Labor party. Y’all go soon need green card to stay for Lagos very soon, and those ones wey dey north go dey seek asylum very soon. Let’s move a city boy or star boy to asorock, una dey yarn rubbish.

A docile president that has overseen the most corrupt and the highest degradation of the economy for 8 years is who you people are deferring to to choose a successor for the next 8 years?' so that his band of cabal can choose a servitude president to continue their raiding of the country. Someone that will be in his terminal years when the successor builds on his legacy of backwardness. Leaving you people to wallow in hopelessness.

And you people are falling in line. A democracy that is meant to be government of the people by the people is now government of Buhari by the cabal. You people have not suffered enough. 100% of revenue should be used to service the looted loans, inflation should double again and prices of goods and services should redouble, maybe you people will suffer more and then come to your senses.
